Being a 26 year old virgin, I can absolutely relate to the situation. Your friend is not alone. Based on my experience so far, generally it doesn't really matter to a guy, whether a girl is a virgin or non-virgin. But for some guys who are NOT into a serious relationship would avoid dating a virgin girl because in their perspective she is "clingy" and "popping her cherry would lead to an entanglement by default". So, obviously they don't really want to go through that hassle. Having said that, there are also guys who view dating and bedding a virgin girl as a "trophy" because you know she is untouched and it's kind of a proud moment to them to boost their ego, there's no guarantee that these assholes will stay because they often vanish or make an excuse to keep a distance once the job is done, so its basically using the girl to fulfill their fetish. Very rare number of guys who are truly genuine though. Its literally like searching for a diamond among all the stones. So, in my opinion, it will be best for your friend to get to know the guy well, build a strong bond and emotional connection before deciding on having sex with him.

Many guys aren't bothered surprisingly from what I've heard so she shouldn't feel bad, how I look at it is, im giving a special gift for someone who will love and value me. You do feel pressure as you get older trust me but you can't let age be your dictator or you will drive yourself to desperation i am trying to stop myself from that and my 23 year old friend who is also still a virgin.
