Trick Or Treat?

I have always wondered when people go for trick or treat like kids going out for candies
If someone doesn't give treats what trick do they play? Never saw anybody playing tricks?

And all this is from movies I don't know what happens in real life?

  • So back in the good old days, when cameras were not a common sight, people would TP houses. If you were brave you would Wait till about four in the morning and then you would grab a few friends and wreak havoc on some of the people you hate. So like cracking eggs on cars, TP the trees in their front yard. If you were in the mood, you could do what my dad did. He went and modified a spud gun to shoot toilet paper, and him and a few friends got a whole crap ton of toilet paper together and he wrecked a whole neighborhood. Ahhhh I wish I was born 30 years ago.🤣🤣🤣🤣

  • One man say frozen still on his porch dressed as a clown. We touched it to see if it was fake and still didn't move. We started walkin down the hill and he jumped up and chased us. We took off in the car. Some other guy dressed as Leatherface and chased us with a chainsaw at a diff house

    • But you already know they are tricking then why run?

    • Because it looked like just a Halloween doll on the porch. Both crazies popped up out of nowhere

    • Ok 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  • i think the person knocking should have to do a trick for the treat. maybe it was once "trick for treat"?

    • Yeah that looks like polite, trick or treat feels like blackmailing 😂😂😂🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃

  • We just moved in our house about 5 months before Halloween. We wasn’t home Halloween night, so we come home around ten. On door knob was a rubber with some stuff inside I imagine it was soap, but wasn’t going to check.

  • It's just custom. There's no real trick. Small groups of 5 or 10 kids knock on the door and you open it. The kids say "trick or treat" then you give each of them a small token piece of candy. For safety they are individually wrapped and sold in big bags in most grocery stores.

  • I thought it was just a saying

Everyone if they have candy to give they give it

If they don't, then they don't open the door
