Why do men like woman with no pubic hair?

Personally, I think no pubic hair is gross. I mean it looks pre-pubescent. Pubic hair used to be considered womanly and normal until the porn industry convinced women that they should shave it all off. But they shave for porn so that you can see everything. It's not something you should actually do. Pubic hair protects your vagina and it IS womanly. So why do men like the look of a pre-pubescent vagina? Is it because of porn? Why don't you prefer women who are confident enough to have pubic hair?

Oh, and don't mention hygiene because their are plenty ways that women can keep things clean down there.

"Personally, I think no pubic hair is gross." You are entitled to your opinion, but it is just an opinion. The fact that you feel strongly on the subject doesn't mean that you are right and everyone else is wrong.

"But they shave for porn so that you can see everything." Yes, there's part of the answer to your question. Men like to see their partner's vagina, not the jungle surrounding it.

Obviously, you are quite bothered by the idea and perhaps you have even had some guy reject you because of your "womanly" appearance. If that happened, it would blow - no doubt - but no need to get triggered. You aren't required to follow the trend, but you shouldn't be surprised when someone comments that you are "different."

I prefer when a girl is trimmed or groomed and maintains it. however shaved / remove is fine if she prefers that. helps to keep the area clean regardless of the amount of hair. but there are medical and health benefits for both genders. to keep some hair around their private areas.

So as a woman, I keep shaved for myself, not for any man. My boyfriend has told me that he doesn't care at all. But I find that things like masturbation and sex are much more enjoyable without hair in the way. There also is a real hygiene benefit but probably not a very large one. Basically humans evolved to have hair in the area when humans didn't wear clothes at least on the level that we do now. So if you are someone who wears tight-fitting underwear all the time even while sleeping which is a problem by itself then adding in hair to trap more moisture and heat only makes it worse and can lead to things like infections.

Personally I like to shave the majority of it off, I like a landing strip though to get rid of that prepubescent feeling.

I’m a little confused at comments claiming that hair makes a vagina dirty, in fact it’s the opposite. Hair keeps bacteria from getting near the vagina and actually keeps the vagina much cleaner.

Women should be able to do whatever they feel comfy with! If you like it clean shaven or bushy, you do you.

Actually, the hairless trend STARTED in Brazil in the 80s as bikinis shrank there, and that fashion spread to Europe and the US. There's a reason why it's called a Brazilian Wax - it was started there. It WAS spread further by porn starting in the mid-90s, though by then, models and celebs had been doing it for a while already.

Many women prefer it as they feel cleaner and smoother, and guys like it because they enjoy seeing everything and not having a bunch of hair in the way when they're doing oral.
I also never understood the "prepubescent" argument. The lack of pubic hair doesn't make a grown woman look like a child - there are boobs and curves and many other signs that don't go away because some hair is removed.

By that logic men should never shave their faces. From my experience it's (usually) not an age thing for guys.

You're allowed to do whatever you want with your hair, and others are allowed to have preferences. I don't think people should be shamed either way, and I don't think you're gross either way.

I had mine lasered because I prefer not being hairy, and because it turns my partner on. Personal preference.

I like it because its softer to the touch, it doesn't agitate my face when I go down on her, less likely to collect sweat and smells so she doesn't have to go freshen up every time we want to have some fun (sure she can do things to fix it but that takes time and some times you want to do something spur of the moment), as well as being visual (as most men are) I like being able to see everything.

I don't mind if she has some hair, but I prefer it if she didn't. It has nothing to do with looking prepubescent and the fact that you would even try to make that argument is rather pathetic (and disgusting to be quite honest).

As for pubic hair being considered womanly, yeah, at one point in time, and then a time before that it was considered better to remove it, and prior to that time it was better to have it and prior to that it was better not to have it. Ancient egyptians use to shave entirely (hygiene purposes) so they where entirely hairless. This resulted in eventually hair becoming fetishized because it was so rare. This is a cycle that happens, then the french brought back pubic hair in more recent times and we have cycled back to removing it and soon we will cycle back to having it, this is just how it works.

Because hair is generally gross and disgusting? Really, why would anyone question this? No man wants to be coughing up hairballs. No man wants to be looking at a giant dirty unkempt crotch-afro. No man wants to be dealing with potential bugs down there in an area more likely to attract them. Obviously some men do like them, as this question will reflect. for me it's a few reasons

1) past bad experience whereby i almost choked during going down on a past girlfriend
2) looks way sexier
3) smells fresher
4) tastes better
5) feels better when smooth
6) also is more sensitive for the woman when someone goes down on them (from what past girlfriend's have told me)

The reason is porn. The current fashion trend for the bald look started with porn. Which is ironic because what they consider "classic" porn from the 70s and 80s showed women with their normal pubic hair. But at some point the industry changed on this.
It doesn't matter to me what a woman chooses to do with her pubic hair. But you're absolutely right that it serves a protective function and a woman's sensitive skin in her pubic area is going to be healthier if she doesn't shave or wax. I personally think pubic hair looks sexy (and womanly as you mention), which is part of the appeal of classic porn that shows it. And you're right about it not being a hygiene issue. If anything, shaving and waxing increases the likelihood of bacterial infections of the skin (like staph) and even a higher risk of some STIs.

I think it is many reasons. First is the perception of shaved is cleaner and it truly is! It eliminates all external problems. The ability to see the lips and opening and to some the pronounced pubic mound is a turn on. Guys giving a girl oral sex can enjoy it without hair. You seem to be stuck on this "pre-pubescent" rant! Either is beautiful and shouldn't be a deal breaker. Some guys like to see what they are doing when they go down on their partner, or don't like a mouthful of hair, and prefer shaved or trimmed. Others like a lot of hair.
