  • I totally agree with that cartoon making fun of those guys but the counter argument is the girl with the big boobs has her nipples covered and the nursing lady doesn’t.

Seriously. Both problems are equally bad for girls. Both involve forcing you to be a way you don’t wanna be.

  • I still remember this. I was 14 and I was going to the shops wearing some denim shorts just over the knee and my dad told me to 'cover up'. They ain't booty shorts im just really hot and don't want to wear pants 😑

  • Both are bad but I honestly hate when men tell us to cover up

  • I'm not too upset about either.
Society functions generally better with modesty/people being clothed. I am for that.
Sexualizing people (almost always women) has more to do with relationships. It's complicated. I wish more young girls would see value in themselves in ways other than their skin. Especially with so many thirsty men out there. Sex is easy. All the other stuff is the challenge.

  • Kinda both?

There's extremes of both and it'd be nice to be rid of unreasonable extremes.

  • My problem is when women are not treated as human-beings. In both cases you described, women are not treated as human-beings.

    • Truth

  • Forced modesty. Being sexualized is a choice, being forced to "cover-up" is not.

  • Forced to her modest because either way I still get sexualized sometimes when covered up extra or showing a bit of skin I’m talking arms, neck, ankles and not even full leg

    • I meant to be not her

  • It's hard to choose which one. But I would say oversexualization is a huge issue, since you can make anything (even if it's innocent) sexual. Like the mommy feeding her baby is one example, other examples would be like eating a lollipop or getting mad at a woman for wearing her sports bra when she's working out.

  • I would say forced modesty. Some people can be very hypocrite when it comes to this.

  • Oversexualised tbh I see that being a problem more often lately than anything else

  • Very good question, but I can't decide! They both seem equally bad.
