Hello lovely people!

I came to this website to spread the word about how bra sizing works and shed light on the societal misconceptions about bra sizing. I found that a good way to do this is to post a photo of someone and ask others to guess their bra size. This has made it very clear to me that we are very much affected by these societal misconceptions because if you post a photo of a person with boobs that appear 'average-sized' the most popular guess is '34C' - because a lot of people think this is the average size. I figured that this method is more effective than asking questions like "are you wearing the right bra size" or "do you understand bra sizing" because when people answer, yes I'm wearing the right size and yes, I understand bra sizing, it's hard to tell what they actually know. Having people guess a bra size from a photo, gives me a much better idea of whether people understand bra sizing or not.

Anyway guys, you may know that I posted this question already yesterday, I am posting it again today because I realized something major. I posted it under the 'sexuality' topic, because that was the topic that was recommended and I'm new here so I didn't realize you could choose a topic. I got so many responses from men (as you would expect, a photo of a woman is going to attract men) and now I understand why. So, I am reposting here, and I have set it so that only women can respond. It makes sense because if you're trying to spread information about bras, your target audience should really be women! I'm glad in a way that I got so many guys responses before though, because it showed me what I needed to know: guys and girls alike are victim to the societal misconceptions about bra sizing. We need to break the chain.

So get guessing, what do you think is Katy's TRUE bra size (not the size the internet says)?

  Just to let you know 'bra sizers' size people wrong on purpose to sell more bras for their brand. Secondly, I don't KNOW the correct answer, but I can make a very good guess based on what I know about bra sizing. I know that Katy is not a 34DD because a properly fitted 34DD is a smaller size than she is. Also, she couldn't possibly have a 34 underbust because her waist is only around 25/26 inches.

Katy Perry is a 34D. As a Boobologist, that is objectively what she has to be. End of story.

(Also, I worked in music security for three years and actually have met her, in real life, before. She's a c*nt and I hate her. Great body, like Kim K, but also like Kim K, awful personality.)

  "As a boobologist" 🤣 That's a good one. No, she's not a 34D. First of all, her band size is smaller than 34. Second, her cup size is larger than D. A properly fitted 34D is a small size.

  Yes, and she's kinda small. (By my standards.) C would be clearly smaller than that, and D is "slightly above average" basically. And that's what she looks like. A 34 band is also the most average women's size. I'm sticking by my answer.

  Stick to your answer all you want, but you're definitely wrong. Also, a 28 and 30 bands are more common band sizes than 34, but people don't realize that because many bras start at 34 bands in shops.

Because you're Anonymous, I can't tell if it's you or not, but being how you're so adamant to be wrong, I'm pretty sure that's you. I'm also not sure if you mean her bra size (properly fitted) or her bust size (her actual breasts' size), so I'm just telling you, I said the bust size. Her bra size is going to be different from her bust size, and I'm sticking by my answer.

  First of all, you know very little about me to know whether I'm crazy or not. Is everyone who tells you you're wrong crazy? First of all, the question said bra size, so yes, we are speaking about bra size. There is no such thing as 'bust size'. The letters A, B, C etc mean nothing without the band size. So we consider both band and bust and this is called a bra size. As I said, stick by your answer all you like, but you're wrong.

  You know what I meant. Her breasts' size, not the literal "bust of the clothing." And you ARE insane if you think there is no difference between a breast size and bra size (though this may just be a miscommunication). They are two different things. I've never understood bra sizing, I guess I missed this in home ec class. Why didn't girls in HS spend more effort educating me on these important things? 🤷‍♂️

I don't know but what I think of is we may be more like birds than we think. She sure knows how to put on a display.

  No, what society has told you about D cups makes you think they are big. A properly fitted D cup bra is a small size (but most women wear the wrong size). To further explain, I am a 26E. I have very small boobs.

  I didn't ask you to comment on my boobs I'm just making a point that people talk about DD and E cups as if they're big but they're really not. They get bigger as the band size gets wider. So on people of wider proportions, DD and E cups might look big but on the vast majority of band sizes, they're small.

I really couldn't give you an exact answer. I might guess maybe 40G?

What I do know is that Katy used to complain about having such big boobs as sideways bragging, when hers are actually pretty average and not that big.

  The fact that you think I'm not a girl is hilarious. Why would men care so much, or know so much about bra sizes? You can see by the men's comments here that they haven't got a clue. I am a woman who wears bras. I was incorrectly fitted in Victorias Secret and other stores all my life, until I learnt about bra sizes from a subreddit online called abrathatfits. I want everyone else to find the right size too, and that starts with tackling misconceptions about bra sizing, which there are a LOT of, such as the idea that D means big.

  Yeah I mean it's okay - we can agree to disagree. I am because when people give bad guesses I tell them why they're wrong. For example, people are suggesting C and D but those sizes are actually quite small, which a lot of people don't realize. People are suggesting band sizes like 40, when her band size is much, much smaller. I'm asking men AND women, because both men and women have those misconceptions. Clearly more men are responding, but there's nothing I can do about that, I wanted it to be open to both men and women. I have done a myTake too, by the way. Not many people saw it. This is a much better way to get more responses and to spread the correct information to more people.

  I don't have the correct answer but I can make a very well-educated guess. The point isn't to guess correctly, it's to guess based on CORRECT knowledge, not what the internet and society tells us. It's not anyone else's business what her size is, it goes deeper than that. So many women struggle to buy their bra size because shops carry super narrow size ranges as a result of measuring people wrong to fit those size ranges. Women who have small boobs are put into A and B cups when they could be C, D, DD, E, F, etc. Women who have large boobs are put into D and DD cups, when they probably need H+. Petite slim women get put into 32 and 34 bands when they probably need a 24,26,28 or 30 band. Yeah, this question I asked with this photo isn't going to suddenly make all that suddenly better, but this is just something I'm passionate about and if I can teach even ONE person ONE thing about bra sizing today, I'll be happy.

  This isn’t exactly the best site to do it on considering the majority of its users are middle aged men. I can guarantee you that hardly anyone who responds to these posts actually gives a damn about bra sizes or how women aren’t fitted correctly, especially since the majority of the answers are from men who just see a picture of boobs and nothing more :/

  Do you know any better sites? (I'm not being sarcastic it's a genuine question) I'd be open to trying other sites for sure. Just thought I'd start here because there's girls and guys here of all ages so I thought it would be a good place to start to see how bad the situation is.
