  • I would want to go back to about age 23 or so and correct a lot of mistakes I made. BUT... I would want to go back with the experience, knowledge and wisdom I have now! And THAT's not usually part of the proposition, in these hypotheticals. And... everybody I knew then would have to go back and be the same age as they were then! THAT way, I could get the girl I lost, I could get the job, I could plan my life better, etc., etc. There's just one problem: We live now. We can't go back. None of us has a choice about that. So we have to learn from our mistakes and go on forward and try to be better.

  • Realistically, here in the REAL world, I'm happy to be the current age I am, because I believe I was BORN at the best time in history. But if I was living in a magic place with magical powers, I would make myself a lot of different younger ages (and keep all my previous memories)

  • the only reason I would change my age would be because of the music, way back in the 1950/ 1960. there were so many types of music and all in the charts at the same time, also in the 1950 ties, there seemed more respect towards people,
    otherwise no I like my age, things are moving much to fast for some to grasp what is going on and I hate to say it but my age group and younger don't have the patience to show the older people things

  • A baby so that I could shit my pants or puke and not be embarrassed by it. The only drawback is you would have to remember what you did wrong the first time in order to change anything. But then you would get into that changing time conundrum if you did everything different.

  • I’d go back to age 23 when i first graduated college. I’d break things off with this guy who wasted my time for the next 2 years. I’d also not work at either of my horrible 1st and 2nd jobs. I’d also not spend so much on my fam and the casino and save more money. Man i’d have a whole diff lifestyle rn.

    • Oh unfortunately it’s not fun. Life wasn’t fun at 9 but I was old enough to have awareness about and some small ability to improve my situation. In retrospect I can see choices I could have made that I had the Opportunity To make then that I would never have again, that would have 💯 altered the next decade of my life in a positive way to where I could have dodged the the Absolute sh*t show that became reality. I’d be free of all the physical damage and I could be living a fairly normal life for 20 year old. Yes it is true that with change other problems will occur. Between what actually happened and what Might have, id take my chances. 💯 Too bad wisdom comes after you really really really need it.

    • GAG allows members as young as 13 so some younger members may wish they were 16 or 18 or 21 for various reasons is why :)

    • Yes, I was about to mention that: Maybe a teenager that wants to grow up really fast for some reason, but it'd be a pretty dumb decision, in my opinion. I can still see why someone at that age would want to do that

    • Get laid like a rock star IN MIDDLE SCHOOL? At age 12 or 13? Really? You know, the adult world is tough! Kids should be allowed to stay kids for a little longer than they do now. And I'm still old-fashioned enough to believe that sex is supposed to MEAN SOMETHING! It's not like, "Oh, let's go get an ice cream," or something. The old rules had something to be said for them.

    • @Keyboardkat Ummm No. I was referring to starting over at middle school age, not specifically getting laid at all in Middle school. I'd prefer to forgo the whole childhood thing and start at a slightly more advanced age group. All the real opportunities I had to make better choices started at that age. It would be nice to get back those choices, and this time take the better path.

    • You should read Judith Viorst's book, Necessary Losses, if you can find it. She talks of how each stage of life comes to an end and transitions to the next stage, and we have to let go of certain things with each transition. There will come a time when you will look back and say, "Fifty was nifty!"

    • I genuinely just see the loss as an annoyance right now. I'm learning to walk with crutches, I'm getting better with the wheelchair and hopefully in the next week or two I'll get a prosthetic leg and start to learn to walk again. And if I don't ill get myself an eye patch and a parrot!
