Why do devout virgins wear sexy underwear or get their pubes shaved?

Why do virgins who are devout about staying one until marriage wear sexy lingerie / undies or get their coochie shaved? To me that doesn't make sense. You have pubic hair for a reason -to act as a filter to keep stuff out of your vagina, just as nose and ear hair help filter stuff from getting into your throat/lungs or your ear canal ( ear wax is the 2nd defense line). So it's not to keep cleaner. So what's the deal?

  • Im not devout In my case, my mom told me when I started getting pubes to shave it for "hygenic purposes,. She even showed me how to shave.

    I do have to disagree about one teeny tinny idea though.
