I got into a physical fight with my 18 year old cousin for trying to steal my man , Why is she pressing charges?

First of all my 18 year old cousin was flirting with my 28 year old husband not too long ago she kept on dancing on the dance floor at a family's wedding and made eye contact with my husband so did my husband I got so fed up with this BS this morning I was at the kitchen helping out my mom get the food ready for a family gathering when I cut my 18 year old cousin sitting on top of my husband lap I went off on her I pulled her hair and it got down and things got really really that I pulled her hair I punched her and I got we got into a physical fight the both of us my cousin and I know her 52 year old mom wants to press charges on me for beating the crap out of that f****** 18 year old brat trying to steal my man. My aunt should have taught her how to be a lady and not be a s***. Now my aunt wishes to press charges against me and my husband is calling me a Karen. Why? And do not come up to me saying that I'm the jealous one and that I'm insecure about my age.

  • 1. Are you aware of anything in the law which says that it is justifiable aggression to stab someone else if they try to "steal" your husband?

    2. A husband can't be "stolen." He can willingly cheat on you but if he wants to be loyal to you, he can't be stolen.

    3. Did your husband actually cheat on you? No. And if he did, you should be mad at HIM, not her.

    4. Your cousin's behavior is inexcusable.

    5. Your behavior is even more inexcusable.

    • It's not his fault it's all that f****** 18 year old brat bloody asphalt she should pay the consequences and she got what she deserve

    • And, when she reports you for assault, you will get what you deserve.

    • Why are you defending her, let me ask you a question do you really think it's okay for a girl 18 year old to be with an older men?

  • Your husband is the problem. He is not resisting her. He is encouraging her. If that is how he is, then why are you with him?
You attacked your cousin. You are legally at fault. And, as I said, your husband is the one married to you, and he is the one who owes you faithfulness, not your cousin.

  • Cop here - probably because you attacked her. Which is a crime. As the primary aggressor in this situation, that makes you the subject and your cousin the victim. I don't know where you live, but you've made a clear case for your cousin, aunt, and the law to pursue against you if you were here in Georgia under Georgia law. 🤷🏼‍♀️

It's her legal right to pursue charges against you for the crime you committed.

    • I am not a criminal that whore should be arrested for trying to steal my man.

    • She didn't commit a crime. You did, though. Go look up your state/country's code section on battery. You committed the offense of battery. If there were juveniles present then you can add to that the crime of cruelty to children. So, sorry you have a crappy cousin and a crappy husband, but the only one who committed an illegal act here was you.

    • Will men dating younger women should be considerate trying to in daddy issues should be added as a crime to the list also can stand older man trying to date on hit on younger women.

  • They're pressing charges because you got physical and "beat the crap" out of her.
Your husband is a total ass though. Clearly unfaithful and messed up in the head if he's letting her sit on his lap and not even understanding why you're heated. Doesn't look like your relationship will last long if he welcomes advances from other women while you're married.

  • You attacked and assaulted your cousin without any provocation. Most countries that's against the local laws. She's got every right to press charges against you.

As for the stuff you describe that's a separate issue.

    • Without provocation? She was trying to get my husbands dick! This brat has daddy issues. She got what she deserved. She can die and I can care less about that useless mistake.

    • Also I do not condone or support huge age gaps.

  • What your cousin did was immoral.
    What you did was illegal.

That's why you're the one facing charges, and your cousin isn't.

  • Geez... white trash central.

    • It's good to see @asker take responsibility for her actions...😂😂😂

  • You are jealous, and I think that your cousin is deserve the beating that she got from you, but many nowadays laws are problematic, and they are on the side of slutty girls.

    • Yes she did. 😳😒WHY? Well a new law should be invented NO YOUNGER WOMAN DATING OLDER GUYS !

    • You a tough woman, I think that laws against adultery and sluttiness is what you looking for. :)
