Yes. It was a gal who I met in a work related situation. The nature of our work ended up with us working together quiet a bit and, honestly, I cannot say that I quite know how it happened but we ended up having an affair.

It was in many ways, not easy. She kept telling me how she really loved her husband but they were going through a rough patch and she needed someone to be with. For my part I felt protective of her and I wanted her - and frankly I wanted the sex too.

By the same token I felt wrong and ashamed. However, every time I talked myself into ending things I would see her and I just could not do it. Then I met her husband and I felt worse.

He was a nice, friendly guy. On the one hand we hit it off and on the other hand I resented him and wanted what he had. Frankly, I don't know if he ever suspected anything as he was always nothing but pleasant - and even during his "rough patch" with his wife he never said anything to her, either.

A crisis moment came when I got her pregnant. There was no doubt of it, and given how little sex she and her husband were having at the time there was very little doubt that I was the father. She freaked but I was honestly happy. I told her to divorce him. I wanted the baby and I wanted to be a father and I would make her happy.

She could not bring herself to do it and then she miscarried. Officially her husband thought it was his baby - at least that is what I was told. From that point on things came to a rapid end. She called it off with me and got counseling with her husband and I never saw either of them ever again.

For my part, I took it hard. I started drinking a lot and got another woman pregnant. Then she aborted our baby without telling me and I was shattered. The day she told me I literally sobbed and it took me a long time to recover. I was also deeply ashamed of the affair and did not think I would ever get over it.

The story has a happy ending. Long story short I met a wonderful beautiful woman. We have lived together and have three children - we don't want to be married. She forgave me when I could not forgive myself and she makes me happy and has turned my life around and I want to be with her always.

Bluntly, I got better than I ever deserved and I only hope that the woman I had the affair with has found happiness with her husband and that they are - as I am - living happily ever after.
