I think it's wrong for a teacher to have sex with their student. It is an abuse of a position, in that teachers should always make decisions that are best for their students. What if you'd become pregnant? What if it had been found out? Wherein you date, whatever people your own age, you're all on equal footing. Wherein you have a partner a lot older than you, as a teenager, they should really be leaving you to figure it all out with other teens, to do otherwise is either intentionally, or otherwise, predatory. It sounds like he is an "OK" guy, but he's still not quite ok, as sleeping with students suggests he hasn't really thought things through, and he's not acted in your best interests.

Going by what you told me before, no harm was done, you were not affected by it in a negative way. Many factors can, and do, come into play in situations like this (ex. the age difference between the teacher and student, whether or not it's a high school or college student, whether or not the student is actually in one of the classes of the teacher in question), making a simple answer to a question like this rather difficult. Only wrong if one was not at the age of consent. Otherwise if they're two consenting adults, I am no one to say its wrong.
It is ethically wrong because of all the drama it creates. In Washington State the age of consent is 16 but there are specific exceptions, one of them being Teachers, regardless of age.
