If you're married, should you use condoms?

If you are married and the wife is on the pill is there a point to use condoms at all?
My best friend and I were talking the other day and she mentioned that even though she takes the pill exactly when she's supposed to every day and that she's been married for a bit that she still makes her husband use a condom anytime they have sex even if he doesn't want to because she doesn't want to take a chance of getting pregnant.

Do you find it odd for a married couple to use several different methods of birth control? Wouldn't it just be fine to use the pill?

  • Ideally no. Interesting that you thought of this as a question. That's kind of a sign of somebody that's has an intelligent mind I think. Even though it doesn't seem like a real deep question it it actually is. Because that's kind of what marriage is about in a way. God instructs us to be fruitful and multiply I've always been suspicious of people who don't have kids who are my age. Guess how many kids I have? Zero. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to take care of them. And the two that I would have had or with the two women up love the most. Which goes to show you that I was almost allowing it to happen maybe. Neither one of them asked me if I wanted to have the child they both through killed I mean before they were born but yeah. One would be 23 22 or 23 the other one would be 14 or so. The first one was a boy second one was a girl I don't know how I know that but I do.
. Well I just totally flooped this question all to hell
Lets be crazy and get married. 🤔😍😱
    I won't bring the condoms.. 😳

  • Using several methods sounds paranoid, and what the big deal with having a child if you are married? also condoms are associated with causal relationships, not with serious relationships.

Most Helpful Girls

  • I would think it is odd. Seems like she is very much against getting pregnant. If she never wants kids then why not get her tubes tied

    • She has kids... she just doesn't want to get pregnant again.

  • nope. that's completely normal, they just don't want to take any chances

  • It is odd but not all that unusual. You're safe with just a well managed pill regimen.

  • Nothing odd about it, just a bit unusual. Some people need it for their minds. The safety-net and stuff.

  • The pill fails.

  • yeah it's odd, even on our first time having sex dating we went condomless.

  • My wife and I have been married 7 years. We stopped using condoms when we got married.. She's on bc.. Never been pregnant once. What does that tell you?

    • It's her choice, but it just seems stupid.

  • Is it odd? Probably not.

  • Im used condom Once in my entire Life never again

  • I think that's odd for him to use a condom. No way would I do that.

  • No, I would never use condoms because I would want her to get pregnant anyways

  • The pill alone would be fine

  • I don't use condoms because I can't get a girl pregnant

  • Swallow its sexier

  • Completely up to them. I wouldn't be against it, but would prefer without.

  • no need if she is on the pill

  • Yes and no

  • Well if you really don't want to get pregnant, using a condom anyways isn't a bad idea

  • Fuck that. If I am married, its raw everytime 🤣

  • That is odd. Married people should be physically bonded together. That bonding occurs through skin to skin contact with the penis and vagina. It also occurs when the husband has an orgasm and pumps semen into his wife. The bonding and happy hormones involved in sex are much less effective with a condom. Sex with a condom is more like masturbating with another person than it is making love.

  • Nah! What for?

  • I don’t let my boyfriend wear condoms, let alone a husband. Lol
