Girls, Is this correct ?

To find the measurement for bra size it's just your band measure and your bust measure. Then you like subtract band from bust and every inch is a cup right?

  • Step 1: Determine your band size
While braless or wearing a non-padded bra, use a measuring tape to measure around your torso directly under your bust, where a bra band would sit. The tape should be level and very snug. Round to the nearest whole number. If the number is even, add four inches. If it’s odd, add five. Your band size is the sum of this calculation. (So if you measured 32 inches, your band size is 36. If you measured 33 inches, your band size is 38.)
Step 2: Take your bust measurement
Wrap the measuring tape somewhat loosely around the fullest part of your chest (at nipple level). Round to the nearest whole number.

Step 3: Calculate your cup size
Subtract your calculated band size (Step 1) from your bust measurement (Step 2) and refer to the bra cup size chart here. Your bra size is your band size with your cup size. Example: 37 inches (bust) – 34 inches (band) = 3 inches. That’s a 34C.

    • okay <3

    • Beware OP, this advice is wrong. This is called the '+4 measuring method' and it is incorrect. It will result in you wearing a band size that's too large and a cup size that's too small. You should never add 4/5" to your underbust measurement.

  • Pull the tape measure around your chest, just below your underarms. Hold the tape measure so it is firm against your body, but not squeezing you. This measurement is your band size. If you get an odd number, round up. Now measure loosely around the fullest part of your bustline. Subtract your band size from your bust measurement to find your cup size. Match the number to this bra size chart to determine your cup size.

    • I totally agree Calvin Klein bras fit super small - which is funny has I have to wear a bigger bra size than I normally do😃🥰

    • @Stephie2369 : Exactly. The amount of material is different for every Bra design. Lack of material effects the elasticity of the whole bra :)

  • Yep, that will give you a general idea of your size! It's worth checking out the abrathatfits calculator though, because it takes 6 specific measurements into account and therefore will be more accurate 🥰 Good luck!
