Do you think this is wrong?

I just discussed with someone on here who argued that if a underaged teen approached and seduced an adult then the police shouldn't be involved because it would make the situation worse.

I think the adult should know better.

  • We got kids falling in love with their school teachers and professors. If you want that big A meet me in the office 😍.

We also got MILFs 40s Females chasing 20s and under Males.

The reason why older people are chasing younger people because they have more energy than older people do.

I hear a lot of old crap on the news. Teachers doing gangbangs and all sorts of shit. There's even teachers transferring to different schools so they can be with their young lovers 🙄.

After being in long-term relationships with someone for over more than 10 years then the flame starts dimming and that's when she starts getting unhappy and starts looking for new lovers and can't decide if she wants to stay with her husband or not while she's out making mistakes.

But it is what it is!

    • Erm OK but it doesn't really answer the question

    • The point being on your question it's just wrong

  • Only if they really didn't know her age then it makes sense. Like if she lied about her age and looked over consensual age. Or legit raped by her...
    Otherwise yeah

    • Agreed, same goes if the boy pretended to be older

    • Yup. Would be interesting to know how many girls and guys have raped an older person then just blamed it on the otherway around if they said anything. i am betting it's a lot. Nevermind lying about age that happens a ton.

    • I think it's more common with girls

  • If the adult does not know the age of the teen, then the adult is not at fault. However if the teens true age is known the the adult is 100% at fault of acting on those impulses

  • i think girls around 14-17 know what they're doing

    • Of course, but so do guys

    • alright, so everyone's happy

  • Both should know its wrong to begin with so its both parties in the wrong.

  • Apparently it's okay if the teen initiated it and the teen would get off scott free, but the adult will still have his ass in a sling because he WAS the adult and knew better.

    • Same goes for adult women

  • I think I already said this to you, but just to share: I have a friend who thought she loved a pedo and he took advantage of her. I wish the police got involved in that situation. The police didn't do anything because she was considered legal under state law. It sucks. Unfortunately pedos aren't going to understand the problem and police sometimes have their hands tied because of state law. Kids aren't going to understand until it's too late. And these poor victims are taken advantage of by pedos. Like did you know that 14yo's are legal in some places? That's disgusting and I wish there was a way the police could do something. Only pedos think it would do more harm if the police got involved because secretly, pedos don't want to get caught and they know it's wrong. I hope this helps.

For context, Robin Williams plays the character of a 11yo kid who has a degenerative disease.

  • By common sense and by law, the adult should know better. The law gets a bit strange in that the age of consent varies from state to state, and each state has various exceptions for the ages. Add to that, it is perfectly legal in many states for a 16 year old to have sex with another 16 year old, or even a 40 year old. But if a photo shows up of the 16 year old, suddenly it is child pornography.
And although the adult should know better, gals these days use clothes and makeup to look well over 20.

  • The adult shouldn't entertain such things

  • An adult should know better. An adult should shut that down as soon as it becomes clear what the underage teen is doing.

  • I wouldn't say it would make a situation worse its just unnecessary to me. Because they both were consenting.

  • Absolutely!! Who seduced who isn’t a measure in this situation

  • The adult should know better Jessie. Does it make any difference if the adult is male or female?

    • It doesn't matter to me

    • I agree the adult should know better!

  • Yeah, TOTALLY!! LEGAL age is 18, in most places in the US, some, maybe 16.
Still, why would a more mature person want to be with a little 'child', unless they were some kind of pervert?
I see some young ladies, and think they can't be more than 14, but, they are 18, 19, even in their 20's!! Still, I have no interest in any intimate thing with them, or sex, or dating. TOO many years difference, and how do you relate to someone about a daughter's age, or maybe 'Grand-daughter'!!
    No cradle robbing for me!!

  • The problem is that the laws need to be rewritten. In some states it's technically impossible for a woman to rape a man so far as the law is concerned. In fact, technically, in some states, if an underage woman forced herself onto a man into penetration. The man has actually raped her so far as the law is concerned.

I don't think the answer is concrete "if this happens, that happens" these situations are different every time. Sometimes it's one person taking advantage of another, sometimes the girl lies about her age, sometimes it's just two people who know what they're doing and have a weird outlook on things.

Laws should be about keeping the world running, not pushing your ideas onto other people.

  • The adult should know better, I agree.
The situation would be worse for the adult more than the kid.
The kid should know that he or she can get an adult in a lot of trouble, so he or she should not try and seduce an adult.
And the Adult should know better anyway, that is why I would say no, not gonna happen.

  • Its a very fine line Black and white answer is yes its the adult who should take responsibility Infact this very situation actually happened to me with my best friends Daughter who was only 11 Many years ago Think I was about 30 I had to explain to her. Circumstances and age wouldn't be appropriate But I was fortunate enough to know her age and keep her friendship and respect However getting back to your point I have known underage Childrn get into Night Clubs Bars etc Being able to put makeup on can age a girl 5 years especially if they are well developed and a mature personality Then mistakes can happen

  • The police ought to get involved in the case of the adult not knowing better.

    • The teen should know better, How do u know the teen didn’t rape the adult?

    • And what if the teen did actually rape an adult... would u be all be sitting around the teen crying on her or his shoulder “there there, we know you didn’t mean to rape yourself and force yourself on that man” ? Because I’m sure there have been cases of a teen boy raping a woman and the teen goes to jail, everyone treated him like the teens the bad guy... yet because the adult was consenting here and wasn’t fighting the teen off... he’s automatically the bad person and not the teen now? Humanity is retarded

    • The older the person, the more can be expected from them. I expect more responsibility from an adult than from a teen (a group of people universally known to be dumb as fuck). If a teen overpowers and rapes an adult then that's a whole other story. That's just rape.

  • The law is pretty clear that minors under the age of consent cannot give consent. It's the adults responsibility to ensure that any young partner is of age, or at least has forged documents making them appear to be of age.

But not all such cases should be prosecuted, and some of the United States have ridiculous laws. In Illinois it is illegal to have sex with anyone under 18. If two 17-year-olds have sex they are both criminals. Most states have an exception for two people close in age. It would be absurd to prosecute a 16-year old who just had a birthday for having sex with his 15-year-old girlfriend whose birthday is tomorrow.

  • While the adult is definitely in the wrong, i believe they should be punished, as well.

The adult deserves 1 year of federal prison for every year between him/her and the minor in question

The minor should be required to be on house arrest until their 18th birthday. Then federal prison until age 21. Upon his/her release, registering as a sex offender for the rest of his/her life should be non negotiable.

Yes, adults should know better. But their status as "jail bait" isn't kept a secret from these kids.

There are exceptions, of course. If the minor is incapacitated. Or if the adult actually rapes (calm down..."actually" means forced, like rape rape type rape. As in "not statutory") the minor.

Those aren't the only examples. But its late and im old. I dont wanna type anymore.

So... take a breath. Decide if you really want to jump my shit. Then lemme have it.

    • Ouch! Strict, but sounds fair!

    • Thanks, coach! I know shit like this will never happen. But here's the thing. This could be considered to be a feminists point of view. I mean, everyone has to be treated equally, right? Well, here u go!

  • The adult should know better, it's why we prosecute them for having sex with minors. If someone underage really gets you going so bad that you can't help yourself, because they are a super hot not-quite-16 year old, you should be getting away from them in the first instance and the older you are, the less of an excuse you have for not doing so.

  • I entirely agree. Bad parenting.

  • The adult should have more common sense than to be involved romantically with anyone under-aged. Regardless of who contacted who. Can they be friends? It depends on the context of the relationship and what's being done between the two. If it's not a big age gap, like if one is 21 and the other is 17. There is definitely a cap for age difference. If it's the short age gap then the youngest should be patient and wait until they come of age.
