Girls ( or guys ) can anyone explain me breast cup sizes?

I allways had this question on the back of my head, how do breast cup sizes work? Cause some girls can be b cups but have bigger breasts than a girl with c cups, what are cups then? What i personally think they are, are the area that each boob covers on each side of the chest, so, for exemple, someone that has a d cup, can still have flatter boobs than someone with c cup, but they still cover a large majority of the chest area on the d cup size girl

  • When you see 32B, that means the person has a 32” underbust, and a 34” bust.
When you see 44B, that means the person has a 44” underbust, and a 46” bust.

That’s why “B cup” looks different on different bodies. Breasts also come in different shapes. Root shape, root height, amount of projection, there’s a lot of things that play a part in how boobs look.

  • The cup sizes stand for a difference in inches between underbust (band size) and bust measurements. A = 1 inch, B = 2 inches and so on. The band size is also very important, because on smaller frames, sizes such as E (6 inch difference) will look small. 26E is a very small size. 32E is an average size. 40E is a large size.

  • Technically cup size is a measure of the circumference of the breast at the chest wall. Given the huge disparity of breast shapes, it's not all that reliably related to breast volume which is what I think you're talking about.

    • Yeah that was exaclly what i was thinking

  • Ask @linerys. She can help you. If you can't get in contact with her though, I'll be happy to explain

    • Thanks! I think @softylyautumnal explained it pretty well!

    • oops, I meant @softlyautumnal

    • I didn't even see that answer. But you're right, she did explain it well

  • A while the same question arose in my mind and found out just below the breasts is measured and around the breasts is measured. The former is the band size. The cup size is sort of volume but it depends on the band size and a C cup in one band size is not the same in another band size.

Complicated. No doubt girls can explain better.

  • Girls ( or guys ) can anyone explain me breast cup sizes?

This is how it works. There are two measurements the under bust (number) and across bust (letter).

    • hmm, that's interesting, because i always thought the letter had to do with the area that each boob filled each side of the chest, like an E would cover most of the chest area with each boob, and a B would cover less chest area plus, why the anonymous? this isn't a perverted question, just about anatomy, but thanks for the info, appreciate it

    • No. The letter doesn't exactly mean a larger breast size as you can see. It's just basically the difference between the two measurements. Lol i got used to clicking anonymous all the time. I dont mean anything by it.

    • by the way do u have a european version of this graph? if not np
