I've known girls to love it and hate it. The reasons not to are well known:
1. Getting an STI
2. The mess
3. Possible pregnancy

But the benefits are less well known:

I for one thoroughly enjoy having sex whilst on my TOTM, and fortunately my husband is very accommodating as well.
There has been many times when other than just relieving my aches, pains and cramps, I have experienced some extremely intense orgasms as well.
So it's definitely a Win Win situation all round.

its different for every woman. These points you made are not scientifically proven. I find not to Orgasm at all during my period and it doesn't help with craps, i actually find it irritates the cervix more because its already in a fragile state. I have heard some woman like it but personally it it isn't nice. Besides the mess id be too moody and want to curl up in bed rather and sleep than have something shoved inside me.

Really there's no downside. If you do it put a dark colored towel down first. Any blood will get on bv the towel. Speaking from personal experience, you can't see the blood. Furthermore, when I used a blue towel, one cycle of the was cleaned it perfectly. You should also shower afterwards to clean off any blood on you two. It's not a huge deal if you use common sense.
