Why is there no guys ask girls?

There would be waay more traffic if the site were titled reverse of girls ask guys, because guys are the top askers and answerers on here. Very few legitimate questions are asked of guys by actual girls. 😒

  • I know you can only speak on personal experience, but I for one see more of women posting than men, but male responses seem to be more higher in ratio than female. That’s just from what I’ve seen though! Also, I don’t think switching the title around would make much difference regarding the traffic. Mostly because regardless, this site is pretty poorly monitored and has taken a progressional plunge over the years. Majority of the time when I see men posting, they are very raunchy questions that are clearly meant to arouse their minds and build fantasies around what women comment. It’s pretty inappropriate and no mods in sight. There are other areas of error I’ve noticed as well. Aside from that, many other advice platforms are springing up as time goes on. Hell even Reddit is a good place for that and it’s monitored way better.

  • Funny you mention that because I had asked myself the same question and even had an exchange with other G@Gers about that topic.

There is no real reason and G@G has not really taken position on that issue in the past years.

I was told that it is not a sexism issue but rather a practical purpose. Since the letter "I" in the word "girls" comes before the letter "U" of the word "guys", it makes more sense to get the gender alphabetically listed.

However, it makes it look as if girls are less intelligent since they have to ask guys but to avoid that type of thinking, the double arrow is taking care of that problem since one of the arrow heads from the girls to the guys and the other one from the guys towards the girl.

That is diplomacy at its finest.

  • If they were smart they would grab that url/domain name and link them both to this site. then change all references to G@G

  • I think it's intended to be cyclical; note how the arrows go all the way around.

What Girls & Guys Said

  • When the owner invented this site, it was intended to be Guys ask girls. The owner and his friend saw guys striking out in a bar, and they came up with the idea. But for whatever reason, it went the other way. But I don't think it really matters, because I don't really think anyone takes any advice on this site.
