Neither is a polite term-Why do women hate the word Cunt and not the word Pussy?

It seems all women hate the C word-its the N word for women. You have no problem calling men a Prick or a Dick (or ass/asshole) but completely wig out and lose it if they are called one. I get that no one likes to be called a name but why is this word radioactive? Women do not even use it for its other meaning (defined as my favorite thing in the world) preferring Pussy which is also considered vulgar (and I think sounds kinda childish). Other women use even stupider little girl euphemisms like their "sunflowers" or "lady bits". Cunt sounds so much better-more adult.

  • I don't know but I personally don't mind the word cunt at all. I use it often myself.

  • You can call her vagina a cunt, but don't call HER a cunt.

  • We just don't like it so please don't use it when referring to a woman. If you're a real man you would not use it at all you would remove it from your vocabulary. Most women would prefer you do that.

    • I get that but why the strong reaction to the C word but not the P word?

  • I don't know if that's true or not, but if it is then it's probably because using the word "Cunt" is just more seen as a derogatory term when referring to the female genitalia.

  • It just depends on where you are in the world. People normalize different slang terms in different countries. Cunt is considered offensive in the US, but people use it REALLY casually in the UK and Australia.

    • yeah I've even heard guys called that in the UK. In the US if you call a guy a pussy it means he's acting weak-"like a girl" (not my sentiments but that's the explanation) but cunt in the UK seems to mean more like Asshole in the US-not as gendered.

  • Well, cunt sounds sharper, more angry, bitchy. Pussy sounds softer and more feminine. Depends on which sentiment you want to project. Both are pretty vulgar and sexually overt.

  • Pussy is just another word for vagina, same as fanny.
    But cunt is something dirogatoty.
A nasty thing to call someone..

  • Cunt is a normal word in the UK and Australia lol

  • First of all — please don’t ever publicly compare the N word with the word Cunt. It’s no where near as offensive or rooted in the same hatred, and even trying to build an argument around that shameful comparison you’re making would make you sound tone deaf and ignorant. On another note, I’ve never in all my adult and teenage years heard of a woman being offended by or hating the C or P word, and I’m a woman, amongst women. Never heard it in class, amongst friends, drunk at the bar or in the ladies room. Just no where.

    • You are correct you never hear the C word and public it just has no place. But on the other hand you do hear the N word in public all the time when you have two N men talking to each other they will call each other that all the time.

    • First I am African American so while I agree they are hugely different (that was the point of the post) tone down your "wokeness" (although I appreciate your intent) and reread my statement in that light. Secondly, I have heard from several sources that the C word is radioactive to women. https://www.pypo.com/reclaiming-the-c-word/ is one such example. I don't know where you live or the circles you run-you might live in Utah or some evangelical enclave somewhere but it is quite common for women to object to its use either as an insult or a reference to a body part

    • I’m also a woman of color, BUT being that we are both anon and have no proof of the others race, we’ll just have to take each others word for it and humbly move on. SECONDLY, your sources vs my personal experience, as a woman, say otherwise. Mind you, there is another woman under this comment who also agrees we don’t hear the C word in public, and I personally have not heard a woman take offense. You wanted an answer, there you go. If you want an argument, that’s a whole other topic love.
