How can a woman's body take so much weight during sex?

I am amazed by how a woman can have sex with a man that out weighs her by a lot.

I used to be 120#s and my boyfriend was 250#s.

I don't understand how that much weight on top of me (missionary) feels good and we are able to have sex so easily.

I know most of his weight is on my hips while he is riding me, but still so many times he is on top of me completely and I don't have issues breathing.

Is this due to the way the woman's body is made to take all that weight mostly on her hips and her pelvis?

Or is it just the way God made us women?

Any thoughts on this?

  • I think it's because your boyfriend wasn't flabby and didn't completely put all this weight on you.

During missionary, he would be thrusting. In order for him to move his hip back and forth, he would need to have a base to push off his body weight, so he would be supporting part of his weight, if not most of it.

He might have his hands on both sides of his or your body, and those hands take some of his weight off of you, also allowing him to generate power for the thrusts. He might also be on his toes so that he had a base for his lower body and that takes some of his weight off of you as well.

For example, if you had one foot on a skateboard and your other foot and leg planted on the ground, you wouldn't roll off with the skate board, since you have a base and that foot on the ground takes part of your body weight. In that position, you could move the skateboard front and back.

Once you let go of that foot from the ground, you completely put your body weight on the skateboard so you would go with it, unless you plant your one foot on the ground again, which relieves some weight off of the skateboard and you could control yourself with that foot as your base.

  • Men aren't actually lying on top of a woman, piling his entire body weight on her during sex. Usually a man is on top, holding himself up by his arms and knees in order to move back and forth. *He's* the one supporting his own weight.

If once the couple has finished and he plops on top of her, well, that's a different story. That's usually why the person who is on top rolls themselves over so they aren't plopping all of their weight down.

  • You aren't on top? Or not loving 'doggie' position? Maybe you are out of touch with things?
"Doggie" as a term, is revolting to so many, but think about it! He is behind you, and in your vagina, not ass, and his hands are free to caress your breasts, your clit, or whatever you need to have stimulated and caressed! He can also kiss your neck, and ears, and give you so much more sensuality! Have you ever done it, with someone that wants to make you have AMAZING ORGASMS?

  • It's not gender or human specific, any animal is capable of handling 1x, or 2x or so times of their weight. I think that when muscles develop tension, blood flow increases through them so as to increase the density and strengthen fibers. Body is quite adaptive.

    • @squirtlesquirtle You TOTALLY missed my point!! She doesn't need to be bothered, with that, and weight, being on top like a modern, EQUAL WOMAN, or in another position that allows her to be the FOCUS of the Sexual JOY, and totally in her control!

What Girls & Guys Said

  • Just the way the female of the species is engineered.

  • With missionary, a guy's arms & legs support most of that weight.

  • Very good question! One I'm not sure I have the answer to lol but I think you're on to something with where the weight is being distributed during sex, and asis while they may be on top, it's not always with their full weight

  • I couldnt even stand my 130 pound ex laying on me missionary style. Its just uncomfortable. I dont like missionary style no matter the size of the guy. And i also have big boobs, so if he collapses on top of them from the sex “feeling so good” then i can't breathe. Even without the boobsc i just dont like someone laying on top of me

    • Can we talk about this

    • @sunnykh4 what about it

  • mostly for me they seem to take a lot of their weight on their legs, and most have had their hands down around my bottom and take quite a bit of weight there,
also even in a missionary position your not laid out that flat or at least I'm not

  • If he has any sense and sensitivity, he is supporting most of his weight through his arms and not allowing his weight to be on you.

    • right? I told my guy friend that same thing when I was 19.

  • It’s not full dead weight, it’s partial as a lot is being put through guys feet and or arms.

Thrusting means you need to have bit of weight elsewhere.

But yes I have felt concerned at time riding a smaller woman hard, and usually have her from behind or her on top.

  • Guys dont usually put all their weight on you especially during sex. I've dated a big boy who was 270ish and I had a hard time breathing if he put all that weight on me.

  • He rarely lays down with all his weight on me. He’s supporting himself too. That’s how he’s able to get leverage to thrust in and out.

  • If he is resting his weight on you, he is shit out of shape, bruh.
That's what his arms and knees are for.

  • I kinda get breathless... I feel like that’s his intention some times 🤔 to squash me.

  • I think the pleasure during sex blocks out the feeling of discomfort of having someone on top of you.

  • I am a tiny girl, and i don't get crushed.

  • Usually the man supports a lot of his own weight. If your boyfriend just lay on you unsupported you would have a problem.

  • We don't usually put our full weight on you. Or I don't anyway. It's in my arms or legs more than on her.

  • Durability lol

  • You are superhuman. I would hope some of his weight was on his arms. If not, it's more like a sandwich with him and the bed with his weight being spread out evenly over you.

  • Most of his weight isn't actually falling on you, so much as it falls *around* you. If his whole bodyweight was on your torso, he wouldn't be able to move, he'd just ve lying prone basically. In missionary position his knees, feet, and forearms are carrying much of his weight through the bed/floor/surface. He only puts as much weight onto your hips/belly etc as he wants to.

  • No idea. Just lay back and enjoy.

  • Most of his weight wasn't on your hips. It was on his knees and hands or elbows.
