I am a virgin. I want to have unprotected sex for my first time because I heard it feels good. What pills should I take to avoid pregnancy and STDs?

  • You *cannot* avoid STDs without a condom. Do. not. have unprotected sex if you are not in a comitted relationship and both of you have been tested (no condom, but always birth control if you are not looking to get pregnant). There are even some cases that a condom doesn't protect you from certain STDs, but those are really advanced cases and the disease has spread on a bigger area on the genitals and if that's the case and you can clearly see it then don't have sex.
Also, the morning after pill is an emergency method meant only to be used when the condom breaks. This is because it is extremely agressive on your metabolism. It will make you get your period within a few hours after you have taken the pill and will mess up your entire period for a while and can only be taken twice a year tops, preferably each take widely appart. But again, it's an emergency method which is preferably not to be taken.
*Important note. The best way to know if the condom ripped or had a fault is to fill it with water *after* using it and press it to see if there are any leaks. Unsexy but necessary. You never open a condom package with your teeth and it needs to be put on properly, pinching the top to leave a small space for semen.
The pill is a delicate birth control that you need to start taking at certain time of the month depending on your period and needs to be taken with extreme discipline, at the same time every day without skipping a dose our you will risk getting pregnant. Also just because you start taking it today doesn't mean you are protected, it needs to work its way into your metabolism.
But these matters are only to be discussed with a professional so you can choose the right method according to your age and body type and experience as little side effects as possible, so find a good gynechologist. You can even ask your guy to with you and of course, help pay the medical bill and method of birth control 50-50.
Please do yourself a favor and do not have unprotected sex. At least for me sex feels pretty much the same with or without a condom, it's the guys who usually preffer going without. And it can mess your life pretty bad just for a careless moment. I mean, watch Juno or Dallas Buyers Club for a more graphic example of what can happen just for disregarding a condom. And abortions are no fun for anybody, but less fun is to have an unwanted child, especially if you cannot provide a good quality life.

    • Forgot to mention, no method of birth control is 100% effective, they are all around 97% and some are even lower. Eveen when everything is put correctly and used properly, I have known of at least 5 cases of girls getting pregnant while having the implant, taking the pill or even having a IUD. So the best thing to do at least at first is to use a condom (to avoid STDs) and also be using another form, like taking the pill, having the implant or a IUD. But only if you are very avtice sexually.
