Is it a sin if you're born as a woman but never want to get pregnant?

I got lot of male traits and male energy.
I am not bisexual or transgender.
I'm only attracted to males.

I just never want to get pregnant. I don't wanna follow this trend, I wanna avoid it.

Am I born as a woman because I'm supposed to reproduce?

  • The basic intent of any species of animal is to reproduce. Even cockroaches reproduce. Humans seem to be the only species in which reproduction is intentionally avoided. Both men and women were designed to reproduce, and the obvious intent from a scientific view is that they do reproduce. The fact that you are intentionally opting out makes you the odd one.

As for the question of whether not wanting to ever have a baby is a sin, I can't really say one way or the other. I can't think of anything in the Bible that straight-forward addresses the issue.

  • Way back when it was said that a woman’s sole purpose was to reproduce and take care of a family but I definitely think that’s changed now. Infertile women are still women even though they can’t reproduce, If you don’t want to have children that’s your right as a woman. you'll find someone to respect your wishes.

  • No, that's fine - just be up-front and honest about this with any man you are serious about - and understand that it might be a deal-breaker for some of them. You have to be true to yourself, but they're obligated to do the same, so even if he's a great guy and you love him, if he wants kids and you don't, then it's not going to work, and you have to accept that.

    • Sure I am totally open about this thing.

    • Because for me also it will be a deal breaker if he wants kids through me.

    • Then you really shouldn't have a problem. You'll meet some guys who you might have wanted to date, but will need to break it off with because of this, but if you're doing that from the very start, then neither of you will have invested much, and you'll be able to move on easily.

  • It’s not linked to your gender, there are both men and women that have zero parental fiber and don’t want to. Society puts an undue burden on women as they carry kids and ‘should’ be more motherhood oriented. You’re a minority, but a known and normal minority, it’s your life, not theirs.

  • Because you're alive, you're supposed to reproduce; that's part of the biological purpose of life. But there's nothing wrong with choosing not to.

  • no.. it is not even every woman/man who can have kids.. we are not all suppose to reproduce, just enough to let the species live on, and that is not a concern for individuals

  • Women aren't baby breeding machines

  • The LORD said "Be Frutiful and Multiply", but that is not necessarily an individual Mandate, so not everyone is required to have children.

However, I think you are doing yourself a disservice. Child Bearing is meant to be a blessing to a woman and raising children gives you a sense of great satisfactin and fulfillment.

But if you don't want children, that's up to you, the Commandment is meant to be a blessing, not a curse.

  • There is no sin in not wanting kids my ex-wife didn't and as far as I know still doesn't want kids.

It's your body so your decision!

Also there is no saying you won't change your mind at some point and if you do don't beat yourself up about not having them younger... of course this is just as likely not to happen.

Also if you do end up getting pregnant remember there will be a number of hormonal changes that might change your mind. Again nothing wrong with changing your mind.

Just don't cave in to other people telling you to have kids.

  • A sin lol. Uhm as far as I understand... god gives you free will to choose everything. So... no? I don't know I didn't hear you can go to hell for not having babies. I live with my boyfriend without marriage I'm definitely first in line ahead of u lol

  • Nope. Nothing wrong with that.

  • so far i dont want kids either i’d rather have pugs and a sausage dog. Its your life and dont feel guilty

  • A sin? sin to what?
I am guessing the bible if so well everything is a sin according to that so yes this would be another one. But longs if you repent it don't matter.

Pro tip live your life the way you want not what other's want.

  • If you don’t want kids, then don’t have them. That’s your choice and I fully feel you

  • Having a baby is just something that your body can do, it's not all your body is meant for. You aren't doing anything wrong by avoiding pregnancy.

  • Living organisms reproduce to survive as a species but when human populations reach a certain level of progress they stop growing and there's an increase in people who aren't interested in starting a traditional family as well as in acceptance of non traditional relationships. We're way past just surviving, there are other things we can focus on instead, humanity will not go anywhere if you don't participate in child making.
You're normal, you're not "supposed" to do anything, you can just choose a different purpose for yourself.

    • So true. Gotta find a loyal husband who appreciates this.

  • I don't want kids at the moment, and I don't consider women to be born just to reproduce.

  • technically you were born a woman because you were born a woman, your vagina was made to reproduce, doesn't mean you gotta use it tho

  • It's not a sin, you're just making a choice and people should respect that choice.

  • who gives a shit? it's your life... do what makes you happy.

  • Why would it be? This is really the your body your choice thing.

  • There is no god, so who gives a shit if you sin?

  • It is not a sin at all if you never want to bear children. It is your body. Nobody can force you to get pregnant.

  • It most certainly is NOT a Sin to be a Woman, but not want to have Children. There are plenty of Women out there who simply CANNOT have children, even though they are Women. It's perfectly Ok.
