So obviously there’s this career outside of porn that I’m going to college for.

It’s not a doctor. It’s a land surveyor. I don’t expect I’d be busy every single day.

However I think porn might be a good thing to have on the side.

I could hopefully keep my identity a secret there and go by some sort of performer nickname and just not tell anyone.

I’ve heard the wages are usually around the national average and the job itself isn’t that time consuming.

I’ve heard most performers only do 1-2 scenes per week! So I’d still have plenty of time for my other job!

The main reason I’m interested in the first place is cuz I’ve heard guys tell me if you don’t get the experience in bed first women are far more likely to cheat on you in a relationship. Sounds reasonable enough!

The end goal is marriage after all, and I’ll only get there if I find ways to get more confident interacting with women!

There are many myths about porn, two of which I'll first debunk.

1. Women are forced into porn and hate it.

That does happen in some places (mainly Eastern Europe) but it entirely depends on the area and the company they work for. If you choose to work for one of the main companies this simply isn't the case. They have many women applying for work, too many for them to take on actually. Those women do it because they want to.

2. Women fake orgasms.

They don't. Of course some acting goes on, but they have real orgasms. The people who say that porn sex isn't real are just people who don't have that kind of sex.

These two myths are the most important to understand, because it's not as simple as you apply, you turn up and you get laid because the girl is being paid. It's nothing like paying a prostitute who pretends to enjoy having sex with you, as most people imagine it is.

They're women who choose to be there and who want to enjoy it at the same time. Sure they want to be paid but they want to get fucked senseless by hot dudes just like you want to get paid to fuck hot girls.

Your career as a male pornstar is entirely based on your reputation among the women, which is dependent on your social skills and your bedroom skills. They can choose who they do and don't want to work with because the professional companies take care of the girls, and consent is a huge issue.

Unless you're able to get laid easily and you're very good in the bedroom you don't stand a chance. You'd probably be blacklisted.

Been in the industry for 12 years.

The money in it is no longer as good as it used to be and it is extremely difficult to get any calls if you are picky about scenes you are willing to do.

90% of porn are produced in southern california so you have to be prepared to be based in that area and many jobs are very much adhoc.

Im not in it but its toxic from what I read and most women also won't wanna date a porn star. I know i couldn't and I've never had sex but i admire and find it attractive if he has saved himself and to me it shows a level of manners and self respect but its your life but i just know people have a hard time finding partners afterwards. I dont think its worth it.
