What does it mean if a friends with benefits/casual hookup asks: what is your plan for the future?

Is a tricky question because either they want to know where this going as just keep it as is friends with benefits or someone wants more that just friends with benefits. Also wants to know what are your life plans.

If the person sees you are in comfort zone and not pushing yourself to become a much better either in life or job will leave you. The person doesn't want to feel she or he was the cause block you from your goals.

I had exgf was a lean back type. I was active person. I asked her what are her goals as well. She looked at me like she never thought about it. So I tried to push her what she had passion. No move just playing videogames. I decided to move on and left her because her parents as well were getting into our relationship. She even told me we can be just friends with benefits. I told her we can but your brother and parents are in the way but is best not to. I step out.
