Is it trues that when its a full moon all the freaks come out?

Well, the word lunatic did come from the word lunar.

There is no real science behind it though. Studies showing a correlation have been proven wrong. The only thing that might have a very slight effect is that the light of a full moon negatively affects sleep. But even then, the light would increase gradually over many days, and continue after the full moon. Any negative effect would peak after the full moon as the light affected more days of sleep.

Some people mention tides. Tides are about mass and distance, not which direction the light is reflected. The light phase is not synchronized with the elliptical orbit of the moon. So there is no correlation between the phase and tides.

What we do have though, is a lot of confirmation bias.

Its absolutely true. Ask someone whose worked on a crisis network line or 911 operator. It does bring out the craziness. Also anyone who works in emergency department will tell you the same.

Its a myth. Truth is we're always out it's just easier to see us on a full moon.

It sure seems like bad things always happen when it's a full moon. Not sure if it's because of the crazies out or something else but I'm sure this is true on some level.
