Sexual assault is not okay under any circumstance. I think the more important question to ask here is does someone being a victim of racism or being killed or hurt due to the acts of a racist or discriminatory party excuse them of crimes they have committed and the answer is no. Meaning you can 100% use someone as an example of hate crimes and the bigger problem of racism and acknowledge that that same person has committed unlawful, unethical, and unmoral acts because these things can happen to one person. To be clear my response isn’t about Mr. Blake who is being mentioned in the question because I haven’t done enough research on him or the case so I’m not speaking of him specifically. We need to acknowledge the humans are not one dimensional and can absolutely be a victim and an offender.
