Have you ever told a partner I love you just to persuade them to have sex with you?
I frequently have recommended that young ladies not believe anything that a guy says when his pants are on the floor. In the interest of fairness, I should also tell young men to be equally cautious of what young ladies say when their panties are on the floor. I don't think that everyone tells blatant lies about being in love when they are in the midst of being consumed with lust. . . but some people do.

Have you ever lied to a partner and said "I love you" just to persuade them to agree to a sexual romp? Did your lie accomplish its mission?

  • No, I would never do that. It's terrible to lie your way into sex, especially if you have a conscience. Plus, it's cheap as shit. If you can't get laid by fair means, it doesn't really count. It's akin to rape in the sense that it's not something the girl really wants. It only counts if she wants it too.

  • I may a Bohemian, but I'm not THAT cheap (that I would lie about love just for a tumble).

    • I may be the only other user on this site who knows that all Bohemians are not from Bohemia! 😀😀😀

    • Depending on which way the political wind is blowing, I AM from Bohemia or Czechoslovakia or Slovakia, or whatever the leaders are calling it this week. I'm not a bohemian in the "hippie-like" adjective meaning. :- ) Thanks for the MHO, too!

    • And then again, some Bohemians ARE from Bohemia! You're welcome!

  • I said it back before I was dating this guy and he said it and I felt pressured to say it back so I did I thought it would upset him and this was a day into our week-long relationship back when I was 15

    • Learning experience?

    • Pretty much, I haven't said it to anyone else I was romantically involved with cept for my closest friends

    • Thanks for mho

  • What else is pillow talk for except to get sex?

    • Pillow talk does not need to include "I love you" if you don't sincerely feel it.

    • You and I know that but guys will tell a girl lots of sweet nothings to get sex, including I love you. Since a lot of women get turned on by words and touch, they got that going for them, which is nice for them.

    • @daniela1982 - it's called pillow talk, sweetie, cause it happens after sex. Sort of a dumbass expectation if you're telling someone you love them after sex.

  • Can't remember for sure, but I think I did once in my high school years.

  • Nope its not right

  • No, but I’ve had it said to me in such situations

  • Nope I don’t manipulate my loved ones. If I say I love you, I mean it. If they don’t want sex, i respect it.

  • Never!!! But I’ve been told that.

  • Not a partner but yes I’ll admit to doing this in the past. Yes it worked but I bet I didn’t have to do it looking back now

  • I have not done that no.

I take that kind of thing ( love ) pretty seriously.

  • I have never use the L word to get into a girls pants.. It just seems wrong to do that.

    • 100% agree!

    • On the other side of that coin, i have had a few girls say things like "Tell me you love me" and i would not because it would be a lie.

    • If I must ask someone if they love me, I think I already know the answer.

  • I have had that line used on me a few times.

  • I never said it to gain something out of it. when ever I felt to say it, I said it.

  • Nope. If I say "I love you," I mean it.

  • I say what I mean and I mean what I say. If I love someone I'll tell them. If I don't love them I won't be with them

  • thats just wrong
