When Cuddling, are you the Big Spoon, Little Spoon, or BiSpoonal?

I (24) have a date with a guy (26) this weekend, we have a lot of things in common, mainly being dorky/nerdy & not being ashamed of it. We both just seemed to click, which I am very happy about. I know I've seen him out & about when I used to go (Musical theatre reference there 😊) to this one little dive bar in town, but I never took a second glance because he had a lady on his arm, & I respect people in relationships, keeping my place.
We had both made passing references to sex, but neither of us jumping into sexting nor asking for photos that wouldn't be shown to polite company.
He mentioned cuddling, & seemed nervous about asking me if I like it too (I do, until I get too warm). So, I, in turn, asked which spoon he preferred to be... "Big, big, big, Dom, I'm sorry I meant big" was his response.
I'm not too sure why he added "Dom", but it made me smile & roll my eyes nonetheless.
I'm not saying there is ANYTHING wrong with a guy being the little spoon when in a heterosexual relationship. I know there are a lot of stereotypes on where each partner should be when spooning. I, personally, like switching up the spooning roles. I feel as though even the most "macho" man needs to be the little spoon every once in a while because it allows them to feel *gasp* vulnerable & keeps the balance of the relationship. Almost like to say "This is a partnership, let me carry some of your weight too". But that's a personal opinion.
I also like to be the big spoon because of the ability to massage & tease my partner... So I like to consider myself Bi-Spoon-al, as I love being held.

Spooning is so comfortable. From my experience I had always been the big spoon and love it, but from your description of bispoonal that sounds amazing and I would be totally down for a woman being the big spoon at times as I love being held and touched. And i like things to be 50-50 so it would feel more intimate to let her take charge in spooning sometimes so bispoonal it is for me.
