Why does my platonic (so he says) best friend make sexual jokes towards me?

My guy best friend has always said he doesn’t have feelings for me. But almost daily he makes sexual jokes towards me. Things like “I’m psychic and I know you masturbate. You should calm down at night.” or asking me if I shave, or if I sleep with clothes on, and if I watch porn. Is that normal for opposite gender friendships? It doesn’t bother me, but now that it’s turned into an almost daily occurrence something seems funny to me.

Could he a number of things, I have had guy best friends before who I would talk about sex with quite often but it was usually a conversation and not one sided comments..
In your case it does sound like he might be interested in you, either sexually attracted to you or maybe he wants a relationship, I had a guy friend who I was close to who would also make sexual remarks and jokes to me quite often, he would try to do playful fighting and casually touch me or get close to me whenever he can, and there was definitely sexual tension between us to the point that it developed into sexting but to nothing more than that..
Your case sounds like the second guy I described.. I think he wants something more and maybe isn't brave to do sth about it, maybe he doesn't know how you will react or he is afraid you will reject him or lose you as a friend, if it bothers you and you want it to stop, talk to him about it and figure out what's going on there
