  I just graduated from college and am preparing for an examination so I am currently unemployed. I am borderline obese (25%+ body fat). I draw. I am a nerd. I was into fitness but in college, I didn't had much time so I stopped. I do yoga and strength training sometimes but my calories intake is more than it should be (I am a food lover). I am learning guitar.

  OK, so you have some skills. that's good. Skills are attractive to women. Most normal people love food. But sounds like you're using food as a substitute for something else if you're overdoing it so much. Look, you're not working and you're preparing for your exam. Start including fitness BACK into your life and drop that poundage. You HAVE time. There's no excuse not to find an hour a day three to four days out of the week. You can start by simply walking ten or 15 minutes. Add five minutes a day until you're up to 30 minutes. Doing exercies "sometimes" is simply not enough when you're overeating and hanging around the house. Write out a routine and stick to it. Cut back on empty calories: soda, too many desserts, too much bread. Focus on lean protein and loads of vegetables. These are simple, small changes that will improve your health, stamina and your readiness for that exam, as well as the rest of your life. Good luck.

  Who's talking about rich. Your parents can't afford carrots, lettuce, potatoes, peppers, celery, parsley to cook with? Some chicken? You can make chicken noodle soup. Chicken and rice. Chop up cooked chicken and make chicken salad for sandwiches. Buy canned tomatoes and make pasta sauce. Pasta is cheap. Make some meatballs or a meat sauce to pour over it. Hamburger isn't expensive either. Or make a veggie sauce. That's less expensive. You're making excuses to not eat healthy. I contend that a college educated person can look online at many recipes and create a healthier diet for themselves that won't impact their budget and will be good for the entire family. I also contend that your excuses mean you aren't ready to change. Good luck.

Your normal life is luxury here. If I was American, I'd have six pack by now. I have studied America and can tell you that it's very easy there.

  OK. But you said you WERE fit earlier when in college. So what has changed so drastically. Weren't you living at home when you were in college? Was the food so different? Can't you manage to create meals using what your parents can afford to eat more healthily? Cut out excess fats. Walk more. EAT LESS. You'll lose weight. You don't need a fucking six pack to be attractive! Just a leaner weight and good muscle tone. That is achieveable no matter where you live. Situps and other calisthenics are enough to achieve a good looking body. REGULAR exercise.

  I used to cycle to school. Cycling for an hour with 6-8 kg backpack was a lot of cardio. I also used to do strength training. I still do strength training so my arms are good but strength training isn't good for weight loss.

  It's according to what kind of strength training you do. You won't add bulk if you're doing heavy weights, high reps or superslow until muscle failure. That burns calories. Why can't you still bike? You should be looking all this stuff up YOURSELF to find out what you can cook on your family's budget to improve your diet. You have access to a bike, to weights at home and you can do yoga. If you up your exercise and eat less you will lose weight, tone your body and burn more calories. Find a regimen and do it. Find recipes and cook them. Eat less. Just do it.
