Lets throw this in for a twist people that are gay say or believe that they were born that way where do they get the information or statistics saying that they were born that way? In fact if you were to take their ideology and say put it on something else and use their same reasoning behind it for instance... Im a robber it's not my fault i'm a robber I was born this way I can't help it it's in my genetic code my DNA and how dare you get upset that i'm robbing your bank or robbing you.

The fact that you disagree and have hate towards me because i'm a bank robber or a robber in general is a hate crime towards me it's not my fault I was born this way and if you continue to bash me or people like me it's more of a hate crime than anything

  • You have a thought out initial argument. However there is a slight flaw. Sexuality is derived from a person's sexual arousal responses, which is a biological function. Criminal behavior on the other hand is not. While you could argue that both activities are "wrong", the motivations come from different sources. As I said, homosexuality is a biological response. Criminal behavior, while sometimes being done for the adrenaline rush, are for the the most part monetarily motivated. There are clear benefits to crime even with risk of prison or death. Homosexuality on the other hand has no benefit at all. There are many accounts of Christian raised children that after reaching puberty find that they are not attracted to the opposite sex, but are instead are attracted to the same sex. These kids panic and beg for forgiveness and help. They go to the anti-gay religious educations and when it does not change things for them, they tragically commit suicide. These events happened back when I was a kid, when it was taught at public schools that homosexuality was wrong. So during this era, where would the motivation come from?

I do think there are individuals now that are only gay to make a scene and get attention. But I don't think that is the case most of the time.

That said, I don't personally understand homosexuality. I find dude pretty gross to look at in general. To the point it confuses me as to why women find men attractive at all.

    • Someone asked the same question and found most people that were gay at that time had been sexually abused as a child

  • its a fact but not normal genetics as people view tgem, emotional genetics. something along the lines of how we are born knowing how to breath yet there is no brwathing gene either.

    • *breathing

Most Helpful Girls

  • No, and you're not born straight either. You're born with an inclination for one or the other (or bisexuality) and that inclination emerges in late childhood or early adolescence.

"where do they get the information or statistics saying that they were born that way" well, could you choose to be gay? If so then you're bisexual.

"Im a robber it's not my fault" the difference is that robbers have a victim. Consensual gay relationships don't have victims.

  • That is the $million dollar question, isn't it? I think it is a choice and people acting on choices given, much like a person is given a choice to rape a woman or kill someone. You can accept it or reject it. Gays have accepted it as with all sex, it titillates the mind. Observe the people on G@G. Some have kinks that are outright weird.

  • Fact.
But apparently not everyone who's now gay was born that way. Which is very f'ing confusing.

    • 100% disagree

  • Fact. Though some people come to the realization later. Every experience is valid.

    • I dont think anybody's this born gay I 100% disagree

    • That’s valid.

  • I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I think that's fiction. I feel like it comes from life experiences.

  • Definitely a fact

    • I disagree 110%

    • And why is that

    • Read my update kind of explains it then come back and read this. Just like no matter what operation or sex change or whatever you do you cannot be born a male and become a female because that's not what it is sex is simply four things you're either an XX chromosome or female or you're an XY chromosome and male.. you can't change that no matter what. Just like you can't be born a male and say you self identify as a female that's just like me saying I identify as a 350 year old or identify as a god just because you say it doesn't mean it's true.. Back to the whole can you imagine if I was like robbing you and then you called the cops or try to stop me and I said that was a hate crime because I was born this way and I can't help it I was born genetically as a robber same difference

    • Show All
  • Can you go release your gay tension somewhere else please? Doing it on a public website is a little embarassing.

    • Actually was just checking of FB marketplace they got bunch of Closets for sale you can go back into pretty cheap... Is much funnier than what you said...

  • There is a 0% chance you asked that question in good faith. You immediately compare being gay to robbing a bank, which all that does is show your view that being gay is a bad thing

  • That would be fact.

    • I totally disagree

  • I believe gay or anything other than straight is mostly environmental and circumstantial rather than genetic or pre determined before or after birth

  • I would say Bi but not totally gay

  • I believe so.

  • A person can't choose their sexuality.

  • Everyone is born asexual

  • Where does the gay genes come from? Straght couples dont produce gay genes ! A child has NO inclination of gay in them untill they learn its acceptance.

    • In matter or f... g fact niether do gay people. So where do the gay genes come from?

  • No it's a choice

  • Probably yes

  • Maybe born with an attraction to the same sex. But we all choose to act on our impulses or deny them. If I acted on my all of my impulses there would be a trail of dead bodies behind me; and depending on how good at hiding my murders would determine if I was in jail or not.

  • fiction

    • Right so it’s complex. But you can’t have one without the others
