  • The thing that I've noticed is all of the media outrage, thus causing community outrage. Meanwhile, all that the media does is push sex/sexiness/sexuality and the community consumes it, both openly & secretly.

    So, from a neutral perspective, let's ask the question of whether this is a problem. If it is, then define it clearly & explain why. What can be done to prevent it, rather than penalize it (which is after the fact/too late)? Let's call on the media to clean up their acts. If it's not a problem, then let's stop all of this phony outrage from media sluts/whores.

    If I were to put my own beliefs aside, I would ask if the people engaging in such acts were of sound mind to both consent & realize the repercussions.

    My own suggestion is to not engage in these activities outside of marriage, but not one of us is anywhere near being perfect, especially in this regard.

  • All I know is my 16 year old niece say boys are only after one thing. And she says I'm not giving into they demands. Most of her friends think the same so she says. At the end I think it is more the young boys are into sex but the girls are giving in.

  • They are certainly more open about talking about sex, however I don't think they just jump in the sack quite as quickly as girls in the past did. I think the fear of STD;s and pregnancy have been much of this change.

  • I have no idea, but in the late 1960s and early 1970s, quite a few girls were sexually active by age 13 or 14. By high school, most of them were sexually active.
    When a girl passes puberty and her body blossoms, she wants to try out her ripened peach.

    a lot depends on your culture.

    if I go back 20 years and a Friday Saturday night in Newcastle UK, then it was fairly common for a girl to chat you up and be open about wanting sex.

    A lot of societies and cultures have been sexually liberated since about the 70’s and definitely the 80’s.

    This is from say 14 upwards but social media and a world that is online 24/7 makes it appear some things are new.

    for some countries this can be a shock when they realise other places in the world have such open freedom’s.

  • No. It has always been the case but now it is done more openly. Certain communities girls are still virgin for a long time depending on upbringing. I will turn 23 in May and I am still a virgin and all my friends are 22/23 and still virgins.

  • When I was 18, back in the late 80's, I recall hanging out with my friends at the fair and a 12 year old girl was also hanging out because she was dating a 15 year old boy who was with our group. She talked about anal sex and blowjobs, and she knew the logistics.. not just making it up. None of us were that surprised.

    After puberty, people have sex. Always have. Always will. The outrage is more "these days" than anything else.

  • They are having less intercourse but far more oral and masturbation which is what happened in Europe when they started having more open sex education. It lowers the pregnancy and STDs. I think its a good direction.
