If you mean "demand" and "insist" literally then yes.

if you mean "ask for" or "occasionally enjoy" then no not necessarily.

if couples want to have a lifelong monogamous relationship where they only ever do sex acts both really enjoy that's their choice. If they want to have a lifelong monogamous relationship where they mainly do things they both really enjoy, less often add in something one is into and the other doesn't care for as much, and on the others birthday do a sex act that one likes, the other dislikes but is willing to do once in a blue moon to fulfill the others kink, that's also a reasonable choice if it works for them.

I don't think it would be selfish to accept such a gift occasionally. I do think it would be selfish to make such a thing a staple of your regular sex life.

I'd also note that breaking up with someone because they're not interested in a sex act you're keen on is perfectly reasonable. is that "demanding" or "insisting" to you?

  I'm in a sexless marriage so I don't really need a lecture on how its bad to have sex a partner didn't want thanks. I'm not doing that at all. Your view, I assume, is that partners should be unwilling to have any sort of compromise in sex acts. That's fine just means people should dump partners frequently and often till they find real compatibility. There's nothing wrong with that view though I'll note society doesn't really encourage it.

  @Tartersaucefish That's not been my experience. Of the women I've been with almost half liked it enough to ask for it and some truly loved it. My current partner is one of then. She wants it about once a week and there is no question she is enjoying it when we do it. She has at least one rigasm every time.

It's like a religious thing or something, but whatever. I've never told women what they love so I don't know why you say that. I have only shared my experience and observations. I have never had anal with a woman who didn't want it and enjoy it, and no one should, as I alluded to in my original post. Forcing sex of any kind on someone is rape.
