Can I still get pregnant if I am on birth control but my boyfriend did not cum? but had no protection on?

Me and my boyfriend had our first time sex together and he did not use a condom but did not ejaculate and I have a 99% effective birth control implant in my arm that lasts 5 years I have had it for 3 years now is it still possible I might still somehow end up pregnant?

Superb Opinion

  • Yes.

Precum can contain viable sperm and 99% isn't 100%. A number of things can decrease efficacy as well. Certain antibiotics neutralise contraceptive pills and other medicines - both scientific and homeopathic - can impact it too.

If you're looking for 100% reliable, get him a vasectomy and have your ovaries removed.

    Alternatively, abstain.

  • It's maths basically. You had birth control so that's 1% you have a baby, and pre cum has a 25%, so 1%÷25%=0.04% of you getting pregnant. So no, I don't think you'll get pregnant lol.

Most Helpful Girl

  • It is unlikely to get pregnant while on birth control but no form of protection is 100% so yes it is possible.

  • 99% effective means 1% ineffective. He can release sperm in his pre-ejaculate so it is possible.

  • Can’t see it happening, you should be pretty well okay.

    and congrats.

if in doubt though, always go for morning after pill,

  • Nagtive chance

  • The point of having the implant is so that you can have condom-less sex with a partner you trust to be STD-free. With the implant you are very unlikely to get pregnant, no matter what you do.

  • First time and he didn't cum, that's weird. You sure he didn't

    • yes i am sure i was shocked tho too

    • You're more worried about getting pregnant when you've got a patch then you are about the sex. So if he didn't cum did he just stop?

  • There's always a chance but it's unlikely. Just watch mixing alcohol with sex as it can stop the pill working

  • chances r negligible

  • very small chance

  • Yes you can still get pregnant.

  • No. If he didn't cum you can't get pregnant. Precum only has semen in it under very specific circumstances and even then, a very small amount

  • It's possible. Precum contains sperm and birth control isn't 100%.

  • Talk to your gynecologist.

  • I doubt it

  • Not if he doesn't cum

    • Precum can get you pregnant. I'm mentally careless

  • It's always possible to get pregnant but most people use birth control so the man can ejaculate inside the woman's vagina without a condom.

  • do yourself a favor take a couple of sex ed classes and a pregnancy test rather than ask us these questions

    • Ok I’m sorry I was just worried sorry

  • No, especially if you’re on birth control and if he didn’t cum why would you even think that you could?

    • I don't know I panic really easily

  • So you and him were high school sweethearts so I'm guessing

  • Why didn’t he cum? That’s crazy. Lol.
