Is there any advantage with having a baby face? because I hate mine?

I’m 23 and no matter what I wear or make up I apply I always look 15, which bothers me a lot. I’m skinny fit, and I have developed curves, but I have baby like features, so I still get asked to show my ID when I go to a club, and what bothers me the most is that most guys my age that were hitting on me were doing so because they thought I was underage or barely legal, like this 26 years old man was like: « you’re 23? I thought you were 17 max », and he literally was disappointed. Most good guys my age also seems more attracted to mature looking women.
I’m not ugly since I often get told that I’m pretty or that I have a gorgeous face, but I always seem to attract the Pervy guys, teenagers or the freshmen college aged boys which bothers me cause I want a guy who’s 2-4 years older than me, but who’s not attracted me cause he have a high schooler fetish , my mom literally told me, that maybe the only option would be to date a guy who’s younger than me, so that I will be sure that he’s not secretly a pedo. The thing is that I’m a responsible adult, I am in med school, have my own part-time job but people always treat me like a kid.
i really want to love my self but I wonder if I’m the only one that face the same struggle for looking younger.

  • The payoff is when you get older. Think about how many beauty products there are to make women look younger. Skin treatment, coloring grey hair, surgery, Botox, etc. It's all about looking younger.

"I still get asked to show my ID when I go to a club"

I don't know where you live, but in the US, you need to get used to it. A lot of places ask anyone who looks under 40 for an ID. So if you look young, when you are 50 you might still get asked for ID because you look under 40. Even at my age I still get asked for ID every now and then.

It's a heck of a lot better to look young for your age, than old for your age.

Just give it time. I don't just mean wait until you are older. I also mean wait until people get to know you. It doesn't usually take long for people to figure out that you are older than you look.

By the way. When I was in my late 40s - early 50s, people said I looked like I was late 20s - early 30s. So about 20 years younger than I really was. It would really take people by surprise when they found out how old I was. I just got used to it. I didn't pay attention to it, and didn't really care.

  • TWO books, reserve your judgement until you've read them and validated their premises.

The first "Boobs, Boys and High Heels or... How to Dress in Under Six Hours" by Diane Brill
and the second either or both "The Satanic Bible' or "The Satanic Witch" by Anton Szandor LaVey with special emphasis on the chapter of subliminal attraction 'Sex, Sentiment or Wonder' ... together their insights will let you play to your strong suit to draw men ON YOUR TERMS.

Not unlike fishing, WHAT you catch depends LARGELY 'WHERE' you fish and 'WHAT' you choose to use for bait... and lastly whether you're fishing 'catch & release' or seeking 'dinner'!

And, don't forget that Christian injunction to: "Do unto Others as you'd have done UNTO YOU"
IF you want to end your date night with a clear conscience~ ;)

  • I'd do some research on how to deal with this. It's a blessing but at this point in your life, I feel your pain. If you can develop your feminine side, I feel like that may help.

  • One option is to get older. You just do stuff and it happens.

  • Well I think their is an advantage, namely that you look younger so when your older your going to look younger (as long as you take care of yourself) so that is going to be an upside.

  • Have you tried getting a fashion and wardrobe consultation to try to look older?

  • I am two really good friends that go through the same deal I've known them since they were 17 they're both 33 right now and they both still get carded but their skin their youth and what they look like they're just absolutely beautiful I believe that you will be the same way and I believe that you might see things a little bit too deep but I understand distress it might put on you I would be happy and blessed if I was you because there will be kind of time where you he's so happy you had that baby face honestly I like girls like you because I like your DNA I like do you become in this world most women are girls with just died you have what you have so I would embrace it I'm sure you're absolutely beautiful

  • Not so much while you are young. When I showed up for senior pictures the photographer thought I was a middle schooler lost in the wrong place. When I turned 18 and wanted to go to R-rated movies I got carded. At 35 I still got carded when I wanted to buy alcohol. When I was in my 40's girls half my age would flirt with me thinking I was near their age. Now I'm in my sixties and when I try to get my senior citizen discount I get carded again and they still don't think I'm in my sixties. There is good and bad that comes with it but mostly you are getting the bad. Wait until you are 40 and some young 20 something stud flirts with you and asks you out and you retort with "I'm old enough to be your Mom" and he says "But you're to young to be a cougar!" Then you will finally see the advantage.

  • You could go undercover as a baby. There's a plus.

  • Sure, everyone likes a cute and pretty face and as you age... as all the other women are dreading being 30 and 40 and they so want to look young and not look their age... people will be like..."What you are 35? You look 25!"

  • I had a baby face and it's an advantage in being desirable to men.
The disadvantage is when it comes to your career and manipulators. Because they immediately think your easy to pick on.

  • You're very attractive and yes, I suppose you do look younger then your age but, as difficult as it may seem now it will definitely be an advantage as you get older, image being 38 and looking 28.

  • Even though I'm very tall, I was still asked for my ID to prove that I was over 18 up until the age of 28.
I feel ya. It gets old real fast.

  • I've heard the advantage comes later when you're 40 and look 28, but I feel your pain lol. I'm 23 in a couple days and I regularly get mistaken for 15. One older lady asked me if I was nervous about starting highschool and was shooked when I told her I graduated 4 years ago

  • Yes, there is an advantage. If you take care of yourself you stand a good chance of aging well. I’m in my 40s now but people think I’m in my 30s.

As for the pervy guys, you’ll have to be careful to filter them out. It’s not easy and you might need to move slowly in relationships to allow intentions to become clear.

  • Wait until you are 50, then you will realise the advantage

  • Yes, there are. Youth on women is always seen as more attractive by men. You looking youthful is definitely a plus.

  • 1. The advantage to the types of features you are refering to as a "baby face" is that you live much longer.
    2. The image doesn't fit that criteria, the skin on that face looks very damaged/aged.
    3. if you are refering to facial shape as infant like features than you fail at noticing body diversity within a given phylogenetic bracket.
    4. Pedophilia is attraction to prebubesent features, so the fact that you, me, and many other people have said features as adults, suggests that they have nothing to do with age and everything to do with race, making your statement rather racist. (against yourself ironically)

  • So you live life for attracting guys?
    Another Dumbo spotted

  • Let ask you this would you date a guy who's 5.3 ft tall?

  • The advantage will be realized when you're about 50 and everyone thinks that you're still 10 years younger than you are.
Just be thankful for what you have.

  • as a girl? yeah. guys like that. as a guy? no.
