Well, I prefer to have so I can give.

Receiving is nice but I think it is much more gratifying and nice to give to those that don't have. You can make a child happy by giving him/her something small whereas adults no longer have this innocence and everything must have a meaning.

If you give something, people expect something else in return. This is the problem of our materialistic society. Children view it from a totally different perspective than adults and that what makes it much nicer to give to children than to adults.
