There are two kinds of "Asian" spas. The first kind is a legitimate spa though most only actually give massage services. It varies. Most give one of a couple of different Asian modalities that somewhat resemble the soft tissue work that some chiropractors do; They don't usually "adjust" you like a chiropractor does but they do some similar kind of work in the soft tissue. These are usually not relaxation massages. They are designed to address a general need for muscular and joint work. Some chiropractors will recommend someone specific to do this for you. It is not without discomfort and can leave you bruises for a day or two.

The other kind is a brothel that mimics the first kind except when the guy gets in the room the "massage" giver is very poorly trained and almost always just starts walking on the guy's back like a bad cliché. They will rush the massage because they want you to get the happy ending over with so they can get rid of you and move onto the next client. An easy way to tell is that most who do legitimate work expect to be paid at the end of services rendered and most who are brothels demand full payment up front. Full payment does not include a tip which is often the only income the girl gets.

I've only gotten massages from American people. The Asian run massage parlors in my area employ non licensed therapists. Police have raided many Asian parlors and arrested the owners and employees. They're a front for sex shops. I'm not saying they're all the same but I know that's how it is by me

I had a korean massage once but it was basically just a guy scraping off your dead skin and washing it off. It wasn't really a massage but it was called that. Otherwise I've never had any massage.

I've never had a "visit the spa and pay" type of massage ever. Only an at home girlfriend given massage.
