Why does it seem like far more girls are LGBTQ than boys?

Is it just more acceptable, so many more come out?
Or is it more natural in girls?
I meet far far more LGBTQ girls than boys
and plenty of "straight" girls that experiment.

  • girls are already seen as soft and boys are supposed to be strong and although its a big myth being gay is seen as being soft. when I grew up it was a big taboo to be gay not so much. guys would masturbate together making up all kinds of rules that were not true like so long as we dont butt fuck we are not gay. Or when we were younger it was so long as we dont suck dick and younger yet it was just dont touch the others dick. So funny how we bullshitted ourselves. It is much more open now. kids openly admit to masturbating and even masturbating together.,

  • Personally I can't speak for everyone but a lot of girls maybe feel that they can be more open about being with another girl because girls usually have strong connections with one another. Or have a lot more identity crisiss because of so many insecurities or judgement that girls who like girls or try to be guys are portrayed negatively then men depending on their country or how they grew up. I could be wrong. One of my friends explained this to me.

  • This is my personal opinion coming from a bisexual gal such as myself, I think it's because society is more socially accepting of girls being LGBTQ more often than guys. HOWEVER, that's not to say that guys don't or aren't doing it their selves either.

  • I just feel like guys hide it better. I also feel like homosexual men are far likely to be scrutinized for their preference than women.

  • There has been an scientific statistically representative study in Flanders in 2014 and it appears that 4 % od men consider themselves gay or bi. 10 % of women consider themselves lesbian or bi.

    • ya that would make sense I know about an equal amount of gay men and lesbians but most bisexuals I know are women if I had to give out quick estimate I probably know about 5 gay men, and 5 lesbians but only 1 bi man and like 10 bi women that also ignores the large amount of women I know that are open to being with women... or have occasional sexual relationships with women.. that still identify as "straight" so I wouldn't be surprised if the female LGBTQ community is at last 2 times bigger
