Do you think it's okay to have sex with a girl with a mental disability?

I know this girl that has a mental disability that wants to have sex with me but I am not sure if I should and not take advantage of her. Her disability is not to serious she has problems with numbers and memory.

  • Is she a legal adult?
Or has she been declared mentally incompetent?

If she's of legal age and competent... it's her call.
If she's just a novelty for you... that says a lot about you.

You said you don't want to take advantage of her... how close is her family?
Is she living on her own and paying her own bills?
Is it just sex or potential relationship?
If it's relationship then get to know her family.

    Hmmm...🤔

    • Wow good answer

    • She is 35 years old she talks normal and mentally competent but she needs somebody to live with like her brother. She just wants sex not a relationship cause she said she is to old for me (like I said she's bad with numbers) and she's not just a novelty for me but she is a nice person and i like talking to her.

    • Respect and dignity and make her pleasure the priority.

  • Depends on how severe her mental health problem is. There were many type of mental disability type and there level either mild, moderate or severe. On medication or not etc. As long as she have the capacity to make herself judgement then its okay. I have a friend of mine who are also had mental health issue but that does not stop her from engaging in relationship.

  • Depends on the disability, on her ability to intend and want, and on the situation at hand.
I'd refrain from doing anything like that, to be safe, but if you really feel for her, have her parents know. You'll have to take full responsability, mind you.

  • You would want to be sure that she is deemed to have the mental capacity to consent, otherwise it would be rape. If there is any doubt at all then don't go there.

    • She seems pretty competent she talks normal and we have good conversations.

  • It depends on the nature of her disability and if she is able to make informed decisions. If you have any doubts about her ability to give informed consent, don't pursue her. Best to be cautious and maybe miss an oppertunity than to hurt someone

  • As long as she had the ability to understand what sex is and can make an informed decision. I knew lots of girls that had trouble with numbers and memory.

  • No...

  • Definitely, its not like she has down syndrome or full on autism, she deserves love too.

  • Yes I do within reason.

  • Sure

    • I think all of us in modern society has some form of mental issues (LOL!) And really, many are on mental nedications. The key is, Is she competent enough to make decision regarding sex? If yes, then sure!

    • @JessieBellll I like how you think and feel like we have a lot in common.

  • No...

    • Why not

    • If you need to ask me why. There’s no hope for you.

  • As long as you're both okay with it it's okay

  • Good on you for asking, but it seems fine. I think you’d know if it was wrong. If she didn't understand what sex was or something.

  • ONLY IF YOU ALSO ARE MENTALLY DISABLED

    • Oh shit, how should he do that? TBI?

  • Ask her parents.

  • Go for it,,,
