I've been having sex for 12 months with my partner and I'm not pregnant my partner is 49 when he comes I don't smell it or taste it?

Just wanting to know what the underlying issue is I've been having unprotected sex with my partner for a year and haven't fallen pregnant. We both have children I am 30 he is 49 . The only other factor is though that my partner doesn't come much, I can't smell his come or taste it and he has erectile dysfunction and takes Viagra to keep hard. Is this normal? Does this mean I won't be able to have children with him?

Superb Opinion

  • Dry cumshots? Does he feel pain when he orgasms?
A trip to an andrologyst could be in order if that's the case.

Plus, erectile disfunction clearly implies that it's NOT normal. That is stuff that usually has to do with circulatory issues so maybe having him book a trip at the andro would be the best solution.

  • Increase sperm count, quality and testosteron. Thats means he has to quit drugs like alc, cigarettes. Workouts, sleep, Vitamin D, Mgnesium, Zinc, Ashwagandha, Healthy fats, PC muscle training are also greatly impacting sperm, libido and testosteron. I do all of them. You child will thank you.

  • Took my over a year and I was tracking ovulation I was 27 and he was 34 but it’s pretty easy to get his sperm tested for a low count. Then take the docs suggestions from there

  • Both of you go to a doctor and get your fertility checked out.

  • It might be worth getting checked out by a doctor to see if there is something preventing him from from getting you pregnant, or preventing you from conceiving

  • Only having you both checked out can you be sure.

  • Discuss this with your doctor, and do as @heatherlou suggested and visit a fertility clinic.

  • Ugh you don’t have to describe it like that. Get married first and talk to A doctor

    • Describe it like what? I was being honest and keeping in facts I want to have children and curious to know if others are going through similar circumstances

    • What does does smelling and tasting have anything to do with you getting pregnant you didn’t have to add that

    • I just meant there could be a possibility he's not producing sperm because my previous partners it was different I don't know about men and sperm

  • Probably not. Have him have his testosterone level checked, and to submit a specimen for testing.

    • Thank you, We're waiting on doing the specimen test is this common with older men though Is there an age limit to when men can't produce sperm? And can it be too late?

    • Every man is different. We’ve seen some guys making babies into their 80s! But If his testosterone is low, it will affect his sperm count. It’s an easy fix with testosterone replacement therapy though. Also, the old adages like wear boxers, don’t sit in a hot tub, etc.

    • Good to know I guess will just have to wait on sample

  • See a doctor and have yourselves tested. You may not be fertile anymore or he may be shooting blanks...

  • Are you sure he hasn't had a vasectomy

    • Positive... well

    • Speaking from experience I know it reduces the amount of ejaculate

    • Maybe but then I would have to question his honesty he knows I want children so it's a deal breaker

  • Well that’s why your not pregnant. The sperm has to go into your vagina not your mouth.

  • Ejaculation and semen are much more complex than you might think. It is a mixture of secretions from the prostate, seminal vesicles, cowper's glands and testes. Has he had his prostate checked? He's in the ages for that and it can cause infertility too

  • No one here can tell you, go to a doctor and get an accurate diagnosis instead
