I see a lot of hatred in the other answers so far. People are demonising these poor humans. I've had the chance to talk to a person who was attracted to children. He had never acted on his urges, though.
Just as there are good and bad people in the general population, I'm sure there are also some bad pedophiles out there. But the one I talked to was just a regular, good and kind-hearted person who happened to feel sexually aroused by children.
This person was tormented by their sexuality, knowing that they desired something that both society and they themselves considered immoral. Yet, nobody is in control of their feelings, but only what they do with these feelings. This person received therapy, but it didn't remove the desire completely, so this person masturbated to animated porn depicting young or childish characters, which took enough of the edge, reducing the desire for children for a while.
In the same way, I do believe that having sex with a doll or robot designed to look like a child, could help some pedophiles. I'm no expert on the matter, and I don't know if there are some who have trouble differentiating real and fake, in which case sex with a child doll may lead to the misconception that it is also okay to have sex with a child.
But I think sex dolls and robots with childish appearances could be a tool in helping some of these people and saving some children.
No, they should be killed the same for rapists and terrorists at the minimum
inject them with hydrochloric acid and let their blood vessels dissolve

We should be offering reduced sentences for those that voluntarily agree to have their testicles removed by a Dr and thus mostly eliminate sexual urges and the ability to get erect.

I don't know if it's an ASD disorder with her. Mostly it's HFA, but really anyone that is mentally disabled but high functioning qualifies for the place we met.
