Men do you really NEED sex?

Most men say they really NEED it and it’s something women don’t get, but is that REALLY so?

As in "is it required for our survival"? Obviously not; look at monks. As in "do the demands of testosterone get pushed with an intensity you have to experience to understand"? Yes. But... As in "do the neurochemical bonds it forms strengthen the connection to a degree that it can functionally be said to be required for a lasting relationship"? This is the kicker. That degree of connection women "need" to have before having sex? We don't get that without having sex.

Actually yes, men do tend to need sex in a way that most women don't understand. The important word there is "most." Guys and girls are naturally wired differently, and then everyone has there own life experiences and hormone balances. So of course everyone is going to have a somewhat different level of need for sex, however, some studies have shown that women hold the power when it comes to sex, and men hold the power when it comes to access to relationships. Basically, this means that women tend to be more desperate for the relationship aspect than men, and men tend to be more desperate for the sex aspect than women. Thus, women may feel the same or similar biological imperatives to have sex, but they won't feel it as a strong need because it's something they perceive as something that they can get pretty easily, or at least more easily than men.

So yeah, guys tend to have a way different relationship with sex than women do. In addition to that, I think being a virgin vs not being a virgin is a much larger difference than most people think... for guys at least.

Well, not in the same way like we do water or food. I don't really know why we have this constant desire to have sex and create new life. But what I do know is that sexuality is more involved in how we form and shape our lives than many people give credit. So its "need" can be found and its purpose can be explained by its very existence. Just like everything else.

So the answer is yes and no depending on the context.

Yes. Even for a health reason. A total lack of sexual activity can bring forth physical injury, illnesses other than accumulated stress that could make us do crazy stuff.
It's a basic need such as eating and drinking.

I do not NEED it. I simply crave it a lot and really enjoy it. I saw a commercial on tv yesterday about some medical clinic and they had a guy suffering from cancer and he was going to be impotent after surgery. He said if that was the case he didn't want to live anymore. I thought that he was pathetic.
