Sex was always intended for procreation and procreation only. The humans, along with a very few other mammals have diverted the original intend to something more degrading and in most cases, more humiliating for the one gender.
Thus, the spirituality that was intended to bond 2 human beings of the opposite gender to procreate has been lost since a while ago.
There is no longer spirituality in fornication because, let's be realistic, sex is nothing more than just fornication and copulation. Sex is the opposite of death, so sex is the symbol of life. I view it as a sacred and spiritual praxis, and even more spiritual when it happens between two people who are emotionally connected.
