Once puberty hits, possibly before is when a guy figures that out. If an adult guy interested in girls doesn't want a serious relationship now, he won't ever want one, I wanted one since I was 5 but I understood it was something to wait until after i grew up. I didn't have my first girlfriend until i was 22, and that was only because she pursued me (i'm 35 now and still don't pursue despite being single. but my mind hasn't changed)
