  • Well first and foremost, I think its as bad as when they circumcise the men (but of course, we only care about things when it happens to women not when it happens to men).

    Second, no female circumcision is not worse then male circumcision, they do not cut off "almost the whole thing" because that would require them removing the three inches of clitoris that are inside the vagina as well as the several inches of clitoral stirrups that are inside the vagina. Depending on the method they can actually remove LESS tissue then with male circumcision, but in most cases its comparable.

    I think its fucked up personally, but I think its more fucked up when people care when its done to women but when its done to men (and at greater numbers) some how its perfectly okay.

    • First off your saying the worse possible one is the one that they all do when in reality its the least common, second your claiming its worse that a rare few do the worse one because you don't know what we do to men all across the world. Tell me which is worse, the rare case of the third one where they leave just a hole (again, this is not full removal of the clitoris just its outer portion and the outer labia.) OR the practice done by certain aboriginal groups where they force the young boy to kneel on a piece of wood over a fire, circumcise him then force him to eat the part of his penis they cut off (no anesthetic obviously), then when that heals they have him do the whole process over again but this time they bisect his penis? Like I said the only reason why you consider one worse is because your biologically wired to care more about women then men (biology as well as social conditioning), and because you don't realize just how brutal the world actually is. What ever you can claim is bad for women I can point to things far worse for the men. Not saying any of this should be done but it is irrating that people claim one is worse then the other then point to the rarest case done in if memory serves one tribe/group in africa and claiming that is all female circumcision, while ignoring the fact that in all of these places that do female circumcision and dozens more places that don't, men are undergoing the same procedures against their will and no one seems to bat an eye because they are not the right gender.

    • Yes but fgm in islam is 10000000 times worse than male circumcision because they cut off the whole entire thing from the girl. At least in male circumcision it has no life long effects such as not feeling not feeling any pleasure at all or excruciating pain or death because it is done when the girl is under 15

    • It’s the principle of free will and choice, yes FGM is barbaric hence first sentence, however circumcision is indefensible when the person has no choice and is not mature enough to make a decision. It should only ever occur for medical reasons that’s it. We live in modern countries with running water, soap etc.

    • Do the method, purpose, or result matter? Circumcisions aren't meant to prevent men from feeling pleasure and it is a medical procedure. The purpose is to prevent infection. It is no longer necessary in areas where people can bathe frequently, but it was never meant to control someones sexuality.

  • That is one of the worst forms of child abuse. Anyone who would permit that to be done to their child belongs in prison for child abuse. I had my genitals mutilated when I was 8. It was the single most traumatic experience in my life and I've been through five rounds of chemo and have been beat up and had a gun shoved in my mouth by rogue police. The genital mutilation was by far the worst of all.

    • Yea i agree both are outrageous but being circumcised myself i still enjoy sex very much and still have a lot of sensation and many circumcised men feel the same too. male circumcision also has some medical benefits and very few little negatives whereas female circumcision the entire point is to prevent any pleasure at all and reduce the risk of her cheating and has ZERO benefits. But yes both practices are barbaric

    • i mean i take it you didn't decide to be circumcised. i assume that you just got snipped as a baby. and being that, you have no idea how it would have felt for you had it never been taken away from you. i do know that it "can" have "some" medical benefits but only in rare cases with extreme phymosis or shortened frenulum and such. but for the overwhelming majority of make circumcision there is equaly "zero benefits". you know some girls not only get a labiaplasty not for cosmetic reasons but cause their minoras are actually so big they are getting in the way of things for them, so there is benefits for "female circumcision" as well. i understand that in "some" areas they cut of the clitoris but that is not the case in every case. and in the cases where they just cut off a bit of the minoras, that's actually quite a bit like labiaplasty and is quite litterally the same as male circumcision when it comes to risk and benefit.
