Why most Human beings don't like to be alone?

If we can eat, sleep, dream, cry, laugh, die, and even masturbate alone then why do we still feel the need to be around people!

Since the beginning of life humans were toxic to each other but even more in the last years yet we still crave each others attention and time, why is that?

I am single by choice and conviction. Life has proved that my decision was the right one. Thus, I am one of the few in your question to want to be left alone.

I keep saying it over and over again but for all those that have not yet heard my arguments, here they come.

I do what I want whenever I want
I clean my own mess only
I have the freedom to do as I want without having to take others into consideration
I don't have the pressure to deliver or perform the way others want
I only have to worry about my own stupidity and nonsense
I can cry watching a romantic movie without getting those looks from a tough guy
I go to bed whenever I want and above all, alone
I don't go on others' nerves when I am moody
I eat what I like and only cook for one person and not an army
I save money by not having to go out or to a restaurant
I decorate my place to my liking
I have no mistrust issues
I could tell another million and one other arguments

And to all those that argue that the most important is missing, I say no, I do not place importance on what you are thinking of and to me it is not a loss not to have it.

But a lot of people believe that in order to be happy, they need to be in company of others without realizing that more often than not, this relation is more toxic than beneficial.

That used to be me, but lately I think even tho sometimes still feel lonely, still prefer to be alone...
If I could have the quality of people I used to have in my life, I'd want that over being alone...
But if it's the way people are these days versus being alone, I'll take being alone
