As far as herpes of the mouth I'm actually very fortunate never to have had that experience either. Honestly such things make me very nervous. Im such a Cypridophobic. It worries me quite a bit. I always have a person I feel I'm about to get serious with get tested for everything. I make it a requirement they share with me the medical results too.
I sometimes wish I was more laid back. That I could be more like the causual dating folks. However my Cypridophobia keeps me more particular about who I sleep with.

I make them get tested before we even kiss or share anything food or drink wise.
I would make sure before kissing (anything oral) or sex, they get tested for all diseases including any type of herpes.

My girlfriend was a virgin. It would have been pretty obvious to her if she had an inborn STD, she did not. Since she was a virgin, she was clean.
No, I have never had a partner warn me, before we became sexual, that they had an STD. I got an STD from her, and I told her I got it from her. She went to the doctor and we both got treated. I was SO pissed off at her, but we stayed together for two years.

I know one that ended up with herpes and warned me, never got it and tested to make sure later on that I didn’t get it. Haven’t had many partners so I’m still good and disease free

you are really also including herpes? Because many people have this without even knowing (mainly the oral one). I have oral herpes and never tell, but sure abstain from kissing and oral business when it is active. It is not really a miracle not getting it if you avoid outbreaks, I at least know several couples where only one is infected (also some with genital herpes)
So yeah, I don't care about herpes, would also be ok with treated HIV since modern medicine is good enough to stop it spreading, but with the more contagious STDs I would not have sex until they are cleared.
Is HSV-2 not an STD? Yes, you can transmit HSV-2 even f you do not have any active lesions.
and so is HSV-1, which like 2/3 of the whole population have. You really want to include those? then at least many more do not warn of it :)
