It does feel good to finish without there being any contact. I wouldn't describe it as a ruined orgasm, but it seems a little strange to only want that kind of orgasm when there are so many other pleasurable ways. It also doesn't seem fair to you if you want variety in your sex life. If he refuses to have sex in any other way and won't discuss it, the two of you may want to see a couple's/sex therapist.
