Why do so many straight men still try to get with lesbian women?

Does this happen to other lesbians/gays because I’ve had many times where a guy is fully aware that I’m lesbian and still tries to hit on me or sleep with me and say stuff like “I’ll change you”. Or “I’ll be your real first” ?

I literally am not attracted to men so why do they still try when they realistically have a less than 0% chance of getting with me?

  • I think it is for two reasons, first is that one of the most common sexual fantasies that guys have is being with two women who are having sex with each other. And secondly many men don't believe that women could possibly not want to have sex with men and in fact believe that the women in question just haven't been with a proper male lover which they envision themselves to be. While I do have that common fantasy I also know that lesbians, by definition, don't like guys and I tend not to be attracted to people who find me unattractive. That said, my friend who is a lesbian makes the best "wingman."

    • I don’t hate guys I’m just not attracted to them in that way and never have been. Even when I was little my straightness was performative because that’s what people forced upon me but sooner or later I realized that the fact that the thought of kissing a guy repulsed me and I didn’t date till I was a sophomore in high school and had my first girlfriend. I do find some men attractive but not in that way, it’s kind of when you have a friend that you can acknowledge that they are an attractive person but you yourself aren’t into them

    • It's funny, after I posted my response to your question I had a conversation with the aforementioned lesbian friend and she was watching a youtube video by a guy who is a drag queen and she just went on for twenty minutes about how "gorgeous" he is and was rethinking her lesbian status but changed her mind when I reminded her that the "girl" has a penis. lol.   • I noticed something... When I go into an English-speaking lesbian chat room, there are at least as many men in there as women. When I go into a Japanese or Korean speaking lesbian chat room, there is usually mostly women. Is this some thing that mainly western men do? I do not understand it.
