Why do men get so horny over a small waist?

My view is that everybody is attracted to strength. "But a thick waist is stronger" is what you're saying. Well as far as I know, it physically is. But it doesn't make you *look* strong to have a thick waist. In bodybuilding. Having a thin, almost tiny waist, is desirable. Why? It makes the upper body *look* bigger. And I think this is why people like tiny waists in women too.
The bikini model in picture A wouldn't look hot at all without the tiny waist, to me. With women's wide hips having a tinier waist is even more essential to having a stronger look.
The myth that men want a weak, naturally submissive, unathletic girlfriend is INSANE. Fit, strong (but not muscular), capable women are what makes the perfect model.
Models are generally dainty. This is because upper class people are less bulky and more 'long'. Their legs, arms, heads, fingers, toes, they are all longer and skinnier than average.
This is not a look that is unique to females. Believe it or not most females like the dainty look on males too. Why? Because it actually is stronger. You won't see them lifting the heaviest weights of all time but it does give them more agility and speed. Which is far more important in athletics, war, and life in general.
It's my opinion that female attractive ness is soley based on how fit of a son she could bear. This is why it is essential that she have a tiny or at least small waist that highlights her strong upper body, that her wide hips would hide otherwise.
The girl in picture B was a girl I was considering to be my girlfriend at one point. I just couldnt get over how beautiful her legs were. She is 5ft11in tall. I usually dont like tall women because they dont look very good on average. But she clearly has a nice look, doesn't she?
It's the legs. They're strong af looking. She told me she likes hiking etc., hobbies indicate to me she would birth an athlete.

  • It’s not something I ever really think about. What I do care about:

    - if she’s got good teeth
    - if she’s takes care of her skin and makes an effort to stay smooth (this gross “no shave” bs feminists are doing has to stop)
    - if she makes her best efforts to stay in shape. That is she exercises consistently and maintains a good diet. Some athletic women are still thicker but I can tell the difference between thick vs fat by how she carries herself. The former is still attractive.
    - she occasionally dresses femininely. I don’t expect this 24/7 but it’s nice when makes a effort to look pretty occasionally.
    - I’ve always liked shorter petite “cute” girls but it’s definitely not a huge attraction factor. My last girlfriend was 5’10’’. But I really don’t care about height that much unlike some judgement women out there who think a guys height is somehow a choice (I’m tall by the way)
    - she doesn’t have any “whorish” plastic surgery. Nothing turns me off more when a woman with perfectly normal breasts gets unnecessary breast enlargement. It just screams insecurity and shallow attention seeking behavior.

    Those are just outward things she can control.

  • Does it matter. Today there are legions of women who believe that only a woman's opinion matters. They're 250 pounds with green hair and tats on their chest and thick bushes growing under their arms. There's guys chasing these creatures because they have been brainwashed into believing that only a woman's opinion matters.

    Point is you have those who have been brainwashed & those who agree with our ancestors.

  • Most guys these days actually like thicker women. Even in the media, most women that have higher sex appeal tend to be a little thick like thicker thighs, boobs and butt. Women with waist sometimes don't have the hourglass figure that men love, it's not as curvy.

  • Appeal factor. Simple. The more toned, slim and athletic the body of a woman is the more likely it is for men to find them attractive and appealing. At least some men do for sure.

  • I'm not sure if it's the small waste or how the hips curve from the waist. It's definitely has to be the ratio and how it makes those hips look. We love those curves.

    Small waist on small hips only creates a rectangle. Basically, a guy's body.

    • Small hips is not necessarily terrible. The girls in both picture A and B have medium to small hips. I think of hips like a guys jaw, it doesn't need to be massive to be there and be prominent.

    Women are attracted to strength in men. Men are attracted to fertility (=youth + health). Studies have shown that men worldwide are attracted to hip-waist-ratio. So it's not about a "small waist", but about the ratio. If I recall correctly it's 1 to 0.7 as the ideal.

  • Men haven't changed, we have always liked fit, feminine women. Women have decided not to be that and modern feminism have required us to take women in any way, shape or form. That's fine, but don't expect to build relationships and families with that attitude, men are becoming more content with not having sex. And in a way, it's liberating. Men can do what they want and not answer to anybody.
    Here's a problem for women, though. According to the census, there are about 7 million more women than men. That means currently if every living person in the U. S. got married, there would be 7 million unmarried women. I used to think there were more men than women, nope it's the opposite.
    So what's the point, you don't have to conform to beauty standards, nobody is going to make you. But with that attitude, you run the risk of dying alone.

    • Yes and In the past it was much worse. In ww2 many german, polish, and russian girls died alone. In ancient times this phenomenon was so widespread that polygyny was normal. Which is where a male is monogamous with more than one female.

    • I should add that the men are dying too. Not just alone, but dying prematurely. Those women are still fortunate.

    • Yup, men die alone all the time. It just doesn't bother us as much. And I would rather be alone than in another toxic, horrible relationship. It's just not worth it.   • because the contrast between the waist and the hips seems bigger then. big looking hips are evolutionary speaking hot for men, cause women that have wider hips have better survival rates when it comes to giving birth. of course that is ignoring our modern medical possibilities. survivalrates are quite good for all mothers these days. but evolution isn't fast enough for that.
