  • Sex is a really great form of exercise, but it never will replace the treadmill, it counts for something more than exercise – your emotional bonding with your husband / partner. It is ultimate pleasure nature has gifted us. It is estimated that enjoying Sex uses about five calories per minute, five times more calories than watching TV. It gives you a one-two punch: It bumps up your heart rate and uses various muscles. Sex, of course, is different, and the excitement and stress might well pump out extra adrenaline. Both mental excitement and physical exercise increase adrenaline levels. Sex is a normal part of human life. For all men and women, the best way to keep sex safe is to stay in shape by avoiding tobacco, exercising regularly, eating a good diet, staying lean, and avoiding too much alcohol. Sex is a great way to get your blood pumping and burn calories, and every once in a while, for the sake of your relationship, you can skip the gym for a private session with your husband / partner. For the sake of your health, and how you look during sex, however, make a habit of engaging in both regularly. You are better off getting sweaty in the gym with your partner first, and then reaping the sexual benefits of your workout afterward. Sex has many of the same effects on the body as an intense workout. During sex, your heart races, your metabolic rate increases, you burn calories, and stretch and strengthen muscles. Sex has also been shown to boost the immune system and provide stress relief, just like a good cardio session. As far as sex counting towards strength training, you do use a lot of muscles, but which muscles and to what degree is determined by your style. If girl prefer to be on top, the legs and arms get a lot more action than if she is a passive partner. The thrusting motion of sex is great to firm the stomach and can improve posture. Sex, for women, has the added benefit of engaging the pelvic floor and abs. so ladies, take full advantage of that. This all sound like a big favors towards sex counting as a workout, but there are a few things to consider. The proper definition for strength training is working all your major muscle groups through their full range of motion against resistance. While you may feel a burn in certain areas, sex is not thorough enough to count as real strength training. In terms of cardio, if you are really into it, you can accelerate your heart rate enough to burn some serious calories, but chances are you will be focusing more on your partner than making sure your heart rate stays in the aerobic stage.

  • Sometimes. As a girl it is more of a work out when we ride a guy, but if we're just getting it from behind or laying down, then I don't feel like I'm working out much. Guys get a lot more of a workout through sex than women do.

  • Yes I do and I love it it is one of the best workouts you can ever have as long as you can make it a marathon workout then that's a good workout and when you can do that the end result will be basically just rolling off and for about 20 to 30 minutes you have an out-of-body experience you just be laying there and the next thing you know something's touching your back can you say what is that what is that your kind of open your eyes but you can't and you're fighting yourself fighting yourself then next thing you know you'll sit straight up in bed and you realize if the bed touching your back and then you just had the most beautiful hottest sex ever and the best out of body experience ever

  • It's exercise, but not necessarily a workout (it can be at times). To me, a workout has structure, variation, and lasts longer than a typical session for most people.

  • Yes!!! I burn about 7000 just from sexual activity.

    • 7000 calories.

  • Yeah I think the average hard session is supposed to be a 5 mile run.

you definitely use a good bit of energy and sweat a lot lol

  • Ever go for a run and it just goes by pleasurably as the endorphins make it great vs. I can barely make it through this today? Same goes for sex. Some have been workouts and others have been like gliding.

  • Yes i do.

  • It can be but never feels like one.

    • Why's that?

    • A work out feels like work. But sex is usually so enjoyable that you don't notice the energy you expend.

  • No.
    Lol.

  • It’s definitely cardio

    • For sure!

  • No because i work out daily. Sex is for pleasure not to maintain strength and mobility. If you consider sex a workout you should definitely start working out, itll get better

  • If it's physical, it's therapy :)
A workout kind of implies work. Let's just call it exercise, or sexercise (Get my Sexercise! video. Act now though this special TV offer. Operators are standing by. Not available in stores)

    • Lmao but I call exercise a workout

    • Well, a workout can be exercise, but exercise doesn't necessarily have to be a workout. Running to the kitchen for a beer might be a little exercise, but I wouldn't call it a workout. ;)

  • It definitely can be

  • yes for us men definitely 😂 we do most of the labor

  • yeah and wanking too. its probably why im still so fit at 54 lol

  • Sex does involve exercise, but I don't consider it a workout.

  • No, it doesn't take all that long.

    • Lol that's true but you don't get tired?

  • Yeah. Cardio

  • Heck yeah, actually sex can be more intense and longer than an actual work out.

  • For men, it does burn a lot of calories

  • But what you exactly mean by asking it? :)
Is it an idea for getting/keep being fit?

  • The way I do it it is.

    • Lol how do you do it?

    • Slow and steady.

    • Oh I see

  • It'd be more akin to cardio if anything.
