Many an uneditable post that I have written have been all fucked up by their auto-incorrecting.
For instance, their auto-emoji-ing...

I wanted a C followed by a : I didn't want a fucking emoji / emoticon. If I wanted one, then I would have added one with my keyboard or character selector. Whenever I write in gag I'm using the web version on my PC, not the app. I need a full keyboard or fuhgedaboudit.
Autocorrect helps me because I'm a lousy mobile typer. But it's excruciatingly slow so I only read within the app sometimes, mostly just focus on my pms.
It is my phone settings it turns out. But its worse on gag than anywhere else. I shut off spell check.
The one that always trips me up is "boyfriend" in the health and fitness section. It replaces it with "boyfriend" when I'm talking about "body fat". I hate it so much and especially because the site lacks an editing feature.
Holy shit, it replaced it even when I put quotes around it above. I was trying to write "B. F." (I put dots between and hopefully it doesn't replace it this time).
Jesus Christ, this pisses me off so much. I want to throw beer cans at the screen. Lemme at least edit the damned thing if the site is going to do this.

I don't think they have an auto correct here. Every time I misspell it stays there and since we can't edit our posts it makes us look like an idiot when it happens.
I noticed this too! I completely miss the words it auto corrects until after I put it out there.. I'm always like wth, that doesn't even make sense.. And the word prediction is also ridiculous lol! I just thought my phone hated GaG🤷♀️

I turned off my autocorrect. Now I make a lot of spelling errors, but no more changing my words. Lol

I have a friend who got a message from an Asian lady on plenty of fish, and it was obvious that English was not her first language. She wanted to ask about his job or retirement status. Autocorrect stepped in. "Are you working now or are you retarded?". He was kind and ignored the obvious typo. Apparently she didn't realize what she had said because her next reply was "I worked at a hotel, but now I'm retarded, too!"

Well when you can actually understand what I'm saying I think they're pretty good but when I push send and then re-read it and only half of my words that I've said we're in there where the other half came from I don't know but it happens every time. Okay so I just proof read this one everything's good let me push send and see where it goes
Yeah I always have to read it after I finished writing to go back and correct all the errors. And then I have to go back again to make sure they made the corrections I wanted.

I always deactivate every and any autocorrect app/feature, I just don't like those things one bit. All mistakes I've made are my own... lol.

I've never seen that. Oh like other people said it was your phone that makes sense. I do notice here tho it changes abbreviated stuff to full out. Such as in my opinion. I put the 3 letters of this but it does the full thing.

Really? You think so? I find that the voice recognition is really like so so so so good. I do a lot of like voice typing on this and I was just like wow this is like a really awesome. I generally I'm so useless when it comes to using my keyboard I think people might know me but my typos seriously.
I only had the correct one thing on this thing that I used with voice typing.

Yes, it happens to me a lot. Sometimes it will just take a word out of a sentence like there's a glitch when I hit the space bar or something. Lots of my sentences are missing words. 😅
So annoying! Missing words and words that autocorrect when you are way past them.
